The Dynamo would regain their two-goal lead at 3-1 when Tanner Hamilton gets it by a diving netminder at the 12:20 mark for the lone goal of the second period. Gatineau would strike quickly in the third period, just 36 seconds in, on the Hugo Berube goal to make it a one-goal game again at 3-2. The game would stay there until the 16:41 mark of the period, when Brock Spaulding would make it 4-2. Gatineau would keep coming and, for the third time on the night, make it a one-goal game with 1:07 left in the game on the Luca Godwin goal to make it 4-3. The Dynamo would ice the game when Tanner Hamilton would net his second of the game on the empty netter to secure the 5-3 victory. In the Dynamo's winning effort, forward Blaine made three saves.
