The Rams answered back at the 7:05 and 11:50 marks of the second period from Bella Schmidt and Ava Buckley to make it a 6-3 game. The Cardinals would have another answer at the 17:55 mark from Kate Conlon to make it a 7-3 game, and that's where the second period would end. The Cardinals would add one more in the third period from Piper Smith, as they cruised to an 8-3 win. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Chloe Lewis would make 8 saves on the night as they go to 9-5-1 as they head back into conference play. The #15 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return to the Ronald Stafford Ice Arena for the first time in two months with a non-conference tilt against the Suffolk Rams in front of 300 fans. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the 7:12 mark of the first period when Zoe Puc would find the back of the nnetfor the 1-0 lead. The Rams would fight back and tie the game at the 11:40 mark of the period, when Bella Schmidt scored to make it a-1 The Cardinals would come back and regain the lead at 2-1 on a power-play goal by Seeyoung Yoo at the 17:30 mark of the first. In the second period, the Cardinals would get the lone goal of the period at the 11:34 mark when Kayson Ruegge scored a shorthanded marker to make it 3- The game would stay there till the 10:06 mark of the third when Kayson Ruegge would net her second of the game to increase the lead to 4-1 Then just a minute later Brooke Terry would score for the Cardinals to make it a 5-1 game. The Cardinals ended their three-minute blitz with a goal from Emily Kasprzak to make it 6-1, and they would cruise to the win.
