Shawn Duquette (18) and Josh Terry (65) battle for the race win off the last corner of the 500 to win Renegade feature. It was Round 4 of the 2026 season at Airborne Park Speedway as Thursday Night Thunder returned with a full slate of racing. The Renegades headlined the program with a 30‑lap, $500‑to‑win feature, joined by the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, JS Steel Sportsman Modifieds, RainPro of Vermont Limited Sportsman Modifieds, and the Mini Stocks. In total, 91 drivers signed in across the five divisions. The Renegades kicked off the night’s features. Josh Terry jumped to the early lead, but Shawn Duquette and Billy Thwaits quickly closed in to challenge. The race came down to a dramatic final corner, where Duquette slipped past Terry to steal the win. Thwaits finished third, and Duquette extended his points lead to six over Thwaits. The RainPro of Vermont Limited Sportsman Modifieds followed with their 20‑lap event. Sarah Ann Lauziere and Adam LaFountain battled early before a spin brought out the caution. On the restart, Tyler Van Weort clipped the wall and flipped, and when the red flag flew, a sudden brake check collected the top two runners. After the cleanup, Kobe Hernandez and Lea‑Jeanne Lauziere briefly fought for the lead before Hernandez pulled away to earn his first win of the season. The victory trimmed Gary English’s points lead to four. After intermission, the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds rolled out for their 30‑lap feature. Adam Pierson controlled the early laps, but the real charge came from the sixth row as Mike Mahaney and Felix Roy powered through the field. A late restart set up a thrilling finish, with Mahaney making a last‑lap pass to secure his second straight win. Roy retained the points lead, but Mahaney closed the gap to five. The JS Steel Sportsman Modifieds were next for 25 laps. Michael Wright and Lonie Rivers staged a strong battle up front before Wright pulled away to claim his first win of the season. Caleb Drugan finished third, while points leader Nick Heywood crossed fourth to extend his advantage to 14 over Travis Bruno. The Mini Stocks wrapped up the evening with a 15‑lap feature. Twenty‑four of the 28 cars qualified for the main event, which saw Tyler Bell and JJ Laporte trade the early lead. Points leader JP Corrow mounted a late charge to second, but Laporte held on for his first win of the season. He now leads the standings by five over Jeremiah King and Ken Tourville. Racing returns next Thursday, June 4, with another edition of Thursday Night Thunder plus Spectator Races.Gallery
