The Hornets would not be done there, as they would tie the game at two on Cooper Holland's goal. The Lakers would come back and retake the lead about two minutes later at the 10:32 mark of the period on Eli McCormick's second goal of the game. The Hornets would tie the game again with 4:32 left in the period when Sam Bezio would get the second goal of the game, and the second period would end tied at two. The Hornets would get their first lead of the game at the 9:05 mark of the third period when Cooper Holland would get his second of the game, and from there the Hornets' defense would be up to the challenge as they secured the 4-3 victory. In the winning effort for the Hornets, Owen Chapple would make 21 saves as they entered the finals at 13-5-2.
