The game would start well for the home Cardinals, as they would get a quick 1-0 lead just 1:08 into the game on Alexandro Moliner's goal. He banged it home, and that's where the second period would end. The Cardinals would answer quickly in the third period and tie the game at two on the Spencer Bellina goal just 1:58 into the period. The tie would be short-lived, though, as Skidmore would take the lead back just 2:20 later on Dylan Shane's goal. The Cardinals would give it everything they had down the stretch, but just had bad luck with the equalizer, and Skidmore would get the 3-2 win. In the winning effort for the Thoroughbreeds, Tommy Aitken would make 45 saves as they go to 12-9-2 on the season. As for the Cardinals, Beau Lane would make 31 saves as they fall to 12-11 as both teams head into the final weekend of the season, as they travel to take on Potsdam and CantonGallery
