The game would start quickly, with both teams going up and down the court, and the Knights would have a slight 15-12 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the high pace of both teams would continue as the Beavers would win the quarter 19-15 and take the slim 31-30 lead into the intermission. When the teams return for the second half, they will still have the high pass up and down the court, as the Beavers will have the 14-11 and get a slightly bigger lead at 45-41 after three quarters. In the quarter, the Knights would give everything they have to get back in the game and, a couple of times in the quarter, have the deficit within one; still, they would be unable to get over that hump in the quarter, and the teams would tie for the quarter at 15, but the Bevers would hold onto get the 60-56 victory.
