Plattsburgh State's Christian Difelice (23) with the crunching hit along the endboards on the Geneseo defender. It would be the home opener for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they would face #2 and conference foe Gemeseo State to get the season started. The Cardinals would draw first blood on a goal by Cam Owens at 11:32 of the first period for the 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 at 5:18 of the second period on a Pat Egan power play goal. The Cardinals would go up 3-0 a Cole Stallard goal at 15:04 of the third period. Although the Knights would not go away as they would get two goals in a thirty second span with 3:15 to remaining. Although the Cardinals would have enough to hold on for the 3-2 victory. In the winning effort Jimmy Poreda would make 38 saves as the Cardinals go to 3-0 on the season. Gallery.

Brockport State Golden Eagles @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals - SUNYAC's Men's Hockey - November 10th 2018

Plattsburgh State's Ross Sloan (26) cuts in front of the net going for the go-ahead goal. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals hosted the Brockport State Golden Eagles in SUNYAC conference action. The game would be tight from the start. The opening goal of the game would come at the 8:06 mark of the second period and the Golden Eagles would take the 1-0 lead of the second period. The Cardinals would fight back and tie the game at the 13:15 mark of the second period on Ryan Kuhn goal. That would be all the scoring in the game and it would finish in a 1-1 tie. In the effort, Jimmy Poreda would make 28 saves on the night as the Cardinals go to 3-0-1 on the season. Gallery

Buffalo State Bengals @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals - SUNYAC's Men's Hockey - November 30th 2018

Plattsburgh State Jimmy Poredoa (29) with the shoulder save on the high shot to keep the shutout. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC foe Buffalo State Bengals in conference action. The game would be very close at the start the Cardinals would have a slim 1-0 lead after the first period on Matt Araujo goal. In the second period the Cardinals would expand there lead to 4-0 with goals from Charles Barber, Cam Owens and Andrew Pizzo. In the third period the Cardinals would put the game away with three more goals from Rich McCartney, Christian Difelice and Cory Stallard and secure the 7-0 victory. In the winning effort Jimmy Poreda would make 21 saves in theb shutout effort as the Cardinals go to 4-3-1 on the season. Gallery

Fredonia State Blue Devils @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals - SUNYAC's Men's Hockey - December 1st 2018

Plattsburgh State's Jesse Neher (22) splits the defenders and attempts a shot on night. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC action. The game would remain scoreless until the seven minute mark of the second period and Fredonia would take the 1-0 lead. The Blue Devils would extend there lead 2-0 on a power play goal in the fourteenth minute of the second period. Then with just over a minute left in the second period the Cardinals would cut the lead in half at 2-1 on Liam Lawson goal. Then with under six and half minutes left in the game the Cardinals would tie the game at two on the Andrew Pizzio goal. The with under a minute left in the game the Blue Devils would get the game winner and the Cardinals would fall 3-2. In the losing effort Jimmy Poreda would make 31 saves as the Cardinals fall to 4-4-1 on the season. Gallery

Manchester Monarchs @ Adirondack Thunder - ECHL Hockey - December 28th 2018

Adirondack's Alex Sakellaropoulos (1) with one of his 33 saves on the night coming the way of the penalty shot. The Adirondack Thunder would host the Manchester Monarchs in East Coast Hockey League. The Adirondack Thunder would get the opening goal of the game from Mike Szmatula goal at 7:35 of the first period. The game would stay there till the 12-minute mark of the second period when Kevin Lough would score to make it 2-0 lead. Then early on in the third period the Thunder would extend there lead to 3-0 on the Kelly Summers goal, Although the Monarchs would not go quietly as they add two goals during the period and make it a 3-2 game. The Thunder would put the icing on the cake late in the game when Conor Riley would score and get the 4-2 victory. In the winning effort, Alex Sakellaropoulos would make 33 saves as the Thunder go to 16-9-2-2 on the season. Gallery

Manchester Monarchs @ Adirondack Thunder - ECHL Hockey - December 29th 2018

Adirondack's Kevin Lough (25) checks and rides the Monarch into the boards to finish the check. The Adirondack Thunder would host the Manchester Monarchs in the East Coast Hockey League in front of 3400 people. The game would remain scoreless until 57 seconds into the second period when Thompson would score for the Thunder to take the 1-0 lead. The Thunder would extend the lead to 2-0 on Salhany last-second goal. The Thunder would extend there lead to 3-0 on Bradshaw's goal at the 7:27 mark of the third period. The Monarchs would do there best to get back in the game with two late third period goals to make it 3-2. Although it would not be enough as the Thunder would hold on for the 3-2 victory. In the winning effort the Thunder would go to 17-9-2-2 on the season and Devin Buffalo would make 39 saves on the night. Gallery

La Salle Cadets @ Plattsburgh Hornets - High School Boys Hockey - December 8th 2019

Plattsburgh's Hayden Colburn (16) with the hip check along with the sideboards to break up the play. It would be a nonconference tilt with the Plattsburgh Hornets hosting the Lsalle Cadets. It would be a game between evenly matched teams. The visiting Cadets would get the opening goal of the game from DJ Pauley at the 3:32 mark of the first period to make it 1-0 Lasalle. That would be the only goal of the first period and there would be no scoring in the second period. Then in the third period, Lasalle would extend there lead to 2-0 on the Brendan White goal at the 3:01 mark of the period. The Cadets would get an empty netter late for the 3-0 victory. In the winning effort, Lasalle's Caleb Ellis would make 22 stops for the shutout. In losing Jon Dublanyk would make 26 saves as the Hornets fall to 0-1 on the season. Gallery

St. Lawerence Larries @ Saranac Chiefs - High School Boys Hockey - December 13th 2019

Saranac's Dylan Eagleson (7) and St. Lawerence's Brendan Phippen (3) battle for the loose puck at the blueline. The Saranac Chiefs would host the St. Lawerence Larries in nonconference action at the Ameri-can north arena. The Larries would get the scoring starting with a goal from Noah Adams at the 4:02 mark of the first period. About three minutes later the Larries would double there lead at 2-0 on a score from another Adams this time Ashton. The Chiefs would fight and get on the board at the 6:05 mark on Austin Carpenters' goal to make it 2-1. The Chiefs would tie the game at 2 in the final three minutes of the period on the Nolan Knight goal. When the team's comeback for the second period the Larries would take control again and get goals from Brendan Phippen and Mason Frary to make it 4-2. Although the Chiefs would keep fighting and tie the game back up in the final two minutes of the period with two quick ones from Hunter Provost and Hayden Buckley. In the third period, the Larries would once again take the lead this time on Ashton Adams's second goal of the game at the 2:29 mark. Although the Chiefs would battle back and fight to tie the game at five on Hayden Buckley's second of the game with three minutes left in regulation. In the overtime, the Larries appeared to have the game-winner but was called off as the net was off. The Chiefs would take advantage of it and get the game-winner on a shorthand by Austin Carpenter in the final seconds for the 6-5 win. In the winning effort, the Chiefs go to 5-0 while the Larries go to 1-1 on the season. Gallery

Kenmore East Bulldogs @ Beekmantown Eagles - High School Boys Hockey - December 15th 2019

Beekmantown's Cody Repas (9) with the off-balance shot from inside the blue line. The Beekmantown Eagles would host Kenmore East Bulldogs in nonconference action. The Eagles would get the opening goal of the game at the 4:26 mark of the first period on the Alex Brienza goal and that would be the only scoring of the first period. The Eagles would extend there lead to two on the Collin Latinville goal at the 5:29 mark of the second period. Then at the 11:36 mark of the second Alex Brienza would get second of the night on the shorthand to make it 3-0. Then with just four seconds left in the period, Alex Brienza would score to complete his hat trick and make it 4-0. From there on there would be no scoring in the third period and the Beekmantown Eagles would get the 4-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles go to 2-1 on the season as Riley Hansen has the shootout and Alex Brienza with the hat trick. Gallery

Grand Island Vikings @ Plattsburgh Hornets - High School Boys Hockey - December 15th 2019

Plattsburgh's Greyson Giroux (11) rides the Grand Island defender into the boards for the check. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Grand Island Vikings in nonconference action. The Vikings would strike twice and quick as they would have a 209 lead in the first three minutes of the game. Although the Hornets wouldn't let that stop them as they would score at the 445 marks on the Brandt Clarke goal to make it 2-1. That would be the scoring for the first period and stay there til 3:42 mark when the Vikings would extend the lead to 3-1. The Vikings would extend there lead to 4-1 on a last-minute goal in the second period. The Hornets would do there best to bounce back with a goal by Ethan Kay in the first two minutes of the third to make it 4-2. Although that would be it as Grand Island gets an empty netter late for the 5-2 win. In the losing effort, the Hornets fall to 1-2 on the season. Gallery
