Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Hockey Northeastern Clinton Cougars @ Beekmentown Eagles December 7th 2016

Beekmantown's Evan Davison (23) with the crunching hit on Northeastern Clinton's defender (17). The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Northeastern Clinton Cougars in section 7 action. The Cougars would take the 1-0 lead at the 8-minute mark of the second period on Kyle Vassar's goal. The Cougars would extend there lead to 2-0 on Adian Lvalley's goal with four minutes left in the second period. The Eagles would cut the lead in half on Christan Wawrzynski's goal in the final minute of the second period. In the final three minutes of the regulation, Matthew Maggy would get the equalizer to force overtime. In the overtime, the Cougars would get the winner in the final minute from Ian Gordon. NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Plattsburgh Cardinals Vs Skidmore Throughbreeds December 6th 2016

Plattsburgh State's Zack Coleman (10) drives down the baseline for the runner as part of a 6 point night. It would be the Plattsburgh State Cardinals hosting the Skidmore Thoroughbreds in non-league action. It would be a very spirited game with the teams going back and forth down the court. The thoroughbreds would race out to a 42-32 lead at the break. In the second half the Cardinals would not let up and their defense would step as they would win the half 54-36. In doing so they would secure an 86-78 victory. In the winning effort, Eric Mack would lead the way with 26 points as the Cardinals go to 6-1 on the season. Gallery

Beekmantown's Kaden Kowalowski(18) fights through the check at center ice and gets the puck. It would be a non-league matchup where east meets west. As the Beekmantown Eagles would host the Kenmore East Bulldogs. The Bulldogs would strike first in the last two minutes of the first period for the 1-0 lead. In the second period, the Bulldogs would get two more goals to extend the lead to 3-0. In the third period, the teams would trade goals. Although it would not be enough as the Kenmore East Bulldogs would hold on for the 4-1 victory. In the losing effort, the Beekmantown Eagles fall to 0-1-1 on the season. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Boys Hockey Beekmentown Eagles Vs LaSalle Cadets December 3rd 2016

eekmantown's Cole Harvey (1) with the shoulder save on the high save. It would be the season opener and feature the Beekmentown Eagles and LaSalle Cadets. The Eagles would get the lone goal in the first period with just about five minutes remaining from Kade Collins. In the second period the LaSalle Cadets would come back and get a pair of goals from Ryan Murray and Sam Balston to take a 2-1 lead. That is where the game would stay til 1:30 remaining in the game when Christain Wawrzynski would score to tie the game at 2. The teams would go to overtime but it would not help as they would finish tied at two. Gallery

In the third period, the offense would continue with two goals from Melissa Sheeran (third goal) and Mackenize Millen for the 5-0 victory. It would be the battle of a couple of north country foes as the #14 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears in Sunyac play. In the opening period, the Bears would get on the board twice as they take a 2-0 lead after the first. In the second period, the Cardinals would fight back and tie the game in the second period with goals from Joe Drabin and Ross Sloan. In the third period the Cardinals offense with four goals from Matt Quality (twice)and Kyle Hall and Cam Owens to secure the 6-2 victory. In the winning effort, Joshua Davies would make 26 saves as the Cardinals go to 5-3.Gallery

Team White would get the only score of the first half to make it 6-0. While Team Blue would get the lone score of the second half to make it 6-6. NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Primelink Tournament: Consolation Game #11 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Middlebury Panthers November 26 2016

Plattsburgh State's Joe Drabin (11) comes down on the breakaway and throws it over the goalie's shoulder for the score. It would be the third-place game of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout featuring the #11 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Middlebury Panthers. The Cardinals would jump out and take the 2-0 lead after the first on goals from Nick Belger and Brady Pfaff. In the second period, the Panthers would fight back and get two goals of there own to tie it at 2. In the third period, the Cardinals would ice the game away with three goals from Jesse Neher, Pat Egan, and Joe Drabin to secure the 5-2 victory. NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Primelink Toutnament: Semi-finals #11 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Concorida Cobbers November 25th 2016

Plattsburgh State's Kyle Hall (10) slides in front of the goalie and takes the quick wrister on net. It would be the host Plattsburgh State Cardinals and Concordia Cobbers in the First Round of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout. It would not start off good for the host Cardinals as they would give up two goals in the first period and trail 2-0. In the second period, both offenses would come alive as the Cobbers would score twice and the Cardinals would get three goals two from Cole Stallard and another from Jesse Neher to make it 4-3 Cobbers after two. In the third period, both defenses would step and there would be no scoring as the Cardinals fall 4-3. In the losing effort, Brady Rouleau would stop 16 as the Cardinals fall to 3-3 on the season. Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Footbal Team Blue Vs Team Red November 20th 2016

Team Blue Alex Palmer with the low catch for the positive gain. It would be the opening weekend of the Indoor Youth Flag Football League and would feature Team Blue Vs Team Red. It would be a game that Team Red would have in control from the beginning as they would have a 21-8 lead at the half. When the teams came back for the second half Team Blue would try and come back and win the half 13-12. Although team red would hold on for the 33-21 victory. In the winning effort, Team Red would go to 1-0 while Team Blue goes to 0-1.
