The Hulk and Jonathan Zakarauskas takes it done to about 325 both passes for a clean sweep on the Pro Stock 4x4 Trucks. The Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers would make there annually stop at the Clinton County Fair for there truck and tractor pull. There would end up being just over 100 hooks in 20 different classes in front a good crowd. The crowd would get treated to a good show with tractors from New York, Vermont and Quebec having some wild rides and some breakage which always gets the crowd invovled. The next stop for the Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers will be the Franklin County Field Days in Highgate, Vermont on August 1 and 2. Gallery

Richard Abare and his 2009 Chevy Silverado would go over 375 feet in the Work Truck class but that would only be good enough for second. The Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers would make there annual return to the Clinton County Fair in Plattsburgh, NY. There would be around 90 competitors on the night that were divided up between eight different classes ranging from Stock Trucks to Cheater Trucks. They would put on a great show in front of a packed house. The winners on the night would be Walter Cheney, Curtis Smith, Eric Labombard, and Dale Labombard in the stock class. Then in the work stock classes, it would be Trent Abare sweeping both. Then to finish it off it would be Evan Brannon sweeping the Cheater Trucks. Gallery

Cardinals Ben Weightman (23) would slide in under the tag of Timberjaxxs Jeremy Barber (21) at the plate on a passed ball. The Fourth Ward Cardinals would meet up the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs in the semi-finals of the Champlain Valley Baseball League playoffs. The Timberjaxxs would take a quick 3-0 lead over the first two innings with a pair in the first and a single in the second. The Cardinals would get on the board with a single run in the fourth inning to make it 3-1. Then would come the game-changer what was thought nothing major at the time a two-strike one out missed check swing that was missed gave the Cardinals new life and would score four runs after that missed call and would end up giving them a 5-3 victory. With the victory, the Cardinals would advance to the championship against the Meron's Expos. Gallery

Store Tavern's Shane Perrotte (2) fields the grounder up the middle and then steps on second for the out. The Store Tavern would meet up with Geoffery's Pub as part of the regular season in the Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball League at the American Legion in West Plattsburgh. The Store Tavern would jump on Geofffery's early and often. They would take a 3-0 lead after the first inning. Then in the second inning, they would get another couple to extend it to 5-0. Then in the fourth, they would really do there damage with eight runs to extend the lead to 13-0. Then in the fifth inning, they would put the final touches on it with two runs to secure the 15-0 win in five innings. With the win, the Store Tavern goes to 5-4 on the season. Gallery

Peabody's Shane Perrotte (2) slaps the tag on Jefford's Steel base runner looking for the steal of third. The Peabody Padres would play Jeffords Steel in nonleague action at South Acres. Jefford's would jump out quick scoring two runs in the first and second innings for the 4-0 lead. The Padres would get on the board with a single run in the third to make it 4-1. The Padres would claw there way back into the game with a three-run fifth to tie the score at four. The Padres would take the 6-4 lead in the sixth on a pair of runs. Although Jefford's Steel would get a pair of there in the seventh to force extra innings. In the extra-inning, Jefford Steel would scratch across a run and get the 7-6 victory. Gallery

Jay Lagrave (79), CJ Lavair (4), Michael Wright (86), Steven Bressette (14), and Scott Richner are all battle for track position in the middle of the turn. It would be week 10 of racing at Airborne Park Speedway and it would be the ESPN 101.3 Twin 25's brought to by Whelen. The four divisions that would be racing on that night would be the 358 Modifieds, Late Models, Renegades, and Mini Modifieds. The 358 Modified would have a good feature race with Jessey Mueller and Leon Gonyo battling it out for the top spot with the eventual win going to Jessey Mueller. The Late Models would have two features on the night as they were testing for the big International 200 next week with wins going to Bobby Therien and Brandon Atkins. In the renegades feature Brent Jarvis and Jim McKineen battling for the top for most of the race until they would slip up and Shawn Duquette would slide underneath for the win. Then in the mini-modified feature, they would have trouble getting going with a few wrecks in the first 5 laps once they would settle down the eventual win going to CJ Lavair. Next week racing is Sunday July 20th with the International 200. Gallery

Store Tavern's Jason Favaro (3) fires to first for the out and keep his team in the game in the early goings. The Store Tavern would meet up with Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball Class B leader. The game would see Leroux Fuels jump out to a 5-1 lead in the early innings. Although the Store Tavern would not give up and keep fighting back and would take the lead in the fifth inning and then hold on for the 11-6 Store Tavern win. With the results in the Leroux Fuels would fall to 3-2 while the Store Tavern goes 4-3 on the season. Gallery

The two teams would come in battle it out in the middle of the pack during the early part of the season. The two teams would go back and forth throughout the seven inning affair in the end Rick's Knighthawks would get the 7-6 win. Cardinals' Brain Latulipe (8) with the pick on the ball headed up the middle to save the hit and fire to first for the out. The Fourth Ward Cardinals would meet up with the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs in Week 8 of Chaplain Valley Baseball League. The Cardinals would take the quick 1-0 lead in game 1 on Tommy Neale's RBI single. The Timberjaxxs would tie the game back up at on Demarco's double in the third. Then at the bottom of the third would score four to make it 5-1. Then in the fourth, the Cardinals would add three more to make it 8-1. Then in the fifth, the Timberjaxxs would try to get back into with 2 runs but it would not be enough and the Cardinals would hold on for the 8-3 win. Then in the second game, the Cardinals would score early, and often they would get three in the first to take a 3-0 lead. Then one in the second for a 4-0 lead. Then they would add another four in the third to make it 8-0. Then they would add six in the fourth to make it 14-0 and get the win as the game was called after five innings. In the second game, Will Flynn would pitch all five strike out seven and give up three hits for the shutout victory. With the sweep on the day the Cardinals stay about the league standings. Gallery

Peabody's Matt Orsmby (13) with the diving catch in centerfield to the rob a hit away from the Expos. The Peabody Padres would travel to South Acres Field in Plattsburgh and play the Meron's Expos in Week 7 of the Champlain Valley Baseball League. The Padres would jump out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning of the game with a rbi single by Jeff Norton and a two-run home run by Mark Eggleston. The Padres would extend it to 4-0 Shane Perrotte's RBI single. The Expos would cut the lead in half in the bottom of the second on a pair of RBI singles by Bruno and Woods to make it 4-2. The Padres would extend the lead back to 6-2 on Mark Eggleston 2 run homer. The Expos answered back in the third with a two-run homer by Mark Passino to make it 6-4. The Expos would tie it up in the fourth on RBI's by Roenback and Bourdeau. The Padres would regain the lead in the fifth on Mark Eggleston's third homer to make it 7-6. Then in the sixth, the Padres would put the game away on Mike Rivers home run and secure the 8-6 win. Then it was time for game two of the day. In that second game, the Padres would jump on the Expos quick and take 5-0 lead anchored by Chris Markwicka three-run home run. Then in second, they would add four more runs helped by Jeff Norton's and Mark Eggleston's back to back homers to make it 9-0. Then in the fourth inning the Expos would get on the board helped by Bruno's homer to make it 9-2. Then the Padres would add two more in the seventh to extend it to 11-2. The Expos would try and make a last inning comeback but it would be two much as they would get one run and the Padres would secure the 11-3 win. With the sweep, the Padres improve there record to 11-4 on the season and are within striking distance of the first-place Cardinals. Gallery
