NCAA Division III Men's Basketball: Norwich Cadets @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals November 11th, 2025

It would be the home opener for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals, as they would host traditional non-conference foe the Norwich Cadets from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference on Veterans Day, in front of 500 fans. The game went back and forth in the first half, with both teams leading but staying within 10 points, and the Cadets led 41-37 at the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cardinals' defense would step up as they would hold the Cadets to just 19 points for the half, while the offense would get out there and score 30, as the home Cardinals would secure the 67-60 victory as they go to 2-0 on the season. In the winning effort, the Cardinal Reem Welch led all scorers with 24 points. For the Cadets, they will fall to 1-1 on the season, and Michael Ndayishimiye would lead the way with 21 points. Plattsburgh State's Emily Kasprzak (22) breaks in on the nete as she gets the second goal of the game as the Cardinals get the 3-0 victory. It would be the season opener for both the #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the #15 Norwich Cadets, as we have a top-15 match to start the season at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena in front of just over 300 fans. There would be no scoring in the first 20 minutes of the game, but that doesn't mean the teams didn't have their chances to score. It would take until just over halfway through the second period, at the 11:32 mark, when Tessa Morris would get the opening goal of the season and give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The game would remain there until the 7:37 mark of the third period, when Emily Kasprzak would score and the Cardinals would extend their lead to 2-0. Then, with just over 90 seconds left in the game, the Cardinals would add the empty-netter from Tessa Morris for her second of the game, as the Cardinals would wrap up their 3- 0 victory. In the Cardinals' effort, Chloe Lewis made 21 saves in the shutout victory as they will head to Endicott College next weekend. NCAA Division III Women's Hockey First Round: Elmira Soaring Eagles @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals March 15th 2025

It would be the opening round of the NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Tournament, and it would see an old rivalry renewed at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Elmira Soaring Eagles with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line. The Soaring Eagles would get the game's opening goal at the 13:57 mark of the first period when Erika Goleniak would light the lamp, and that's where the lead would stand at the end of first period. When the teams returned for the second period both teams would have there chances to get a goal as the Cardinals would lead the period 14-6 shots on goal but would not be able to get one in the net so the Soaring Eagles would hold onto the 1-0 lead as they went to the third period. Once again, in that period, the Cardinals would lead the way with 11 shots to 5, but they couldn't score, and the Eagles would get a 1-0 win. In the winning effort for the Soaring Eagles, Sara Sevcikova would make 40 saves in the shutout victory as they go to 21-7-1 on the season and advance to the quarterfinals against Wisconsin River Falls. SUNYAC Women's Hockey Semi-Finals: #3 Cortland State Red Dragons @ #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals March 1st 2025

Plattsburgh State's Emily Kasprzak (22) muscles through the check as she came in on the attack. It would be playoff hockey time from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena as it would be a rematch of last year's SUNYAC Women's Hockey finals as the #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #3 Cortland State Red Dragons in the SUNYAC Semi-finals this time around with 570 fans in attendance. The Cardinals would get the game's opening goal with 49 seconds left in the opening period when Ciara Wall would find the back of the net for the 1-0 lead as they ended the first period. There was no scoring in the second period, but that doesn't mean that neither team had chances throughout the period. However, the score would remain 1-0 after the second period. The game would stay 1-0 until 23 seconds left when the Cardinals would contact on the empty netter from Tessa Morris to secure the 2-0 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Chloe Lewis would make 20 saves in the shutout effort as they go to 19-6-4 on the season and will take on the Oswego State Lakers in the SUNYAC Finals next weekend. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils as they battle it out to get a playoff spot in the SUNYAC Tournament in front of 1200 fans. The road Blue Devils would look to spoil the Cardinal's chances at the playoffs as they would get the game's opening goal at the 9:17 mark of the first period when Sam Chrenka would score to make it 1-0. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game up at the 12:33 mark of the period when Kevin Weaver Vitale would find the back of the net for the powerplay goal, and the first period would end tied at one. The Blue Devils would retake the lead at the 11:14 mark of the second period when Gavin Bloder would find the net and give them the 2-1 lead. The Cardinals would keep coming and tie the game again with 40 seconds left in the period on Tyler Ramm's goal, and the teams would go into the break tied at two. Then, the Blue Devils would regain the lead for the third time. Gavin Bloder would score at the 4:55 mark of the period on the power play to make it a 3-2 game. The Cardinals would start the scoring quickly as they would take the 1-0 lead just 3:36 into the game on the Mattie Norton goal. The Cardinals would not be done, and they would make it 2-0 just two minutes later when Bridget Orr would find the back of the net, where the first period would end. The Cardinals would keep coming and make it 3-0 on Bridget Orr's second goal of the game at the 4:33 mark of the period, and that's where the second period would end. The Cardinals would keep the scoring going early in the second when Brannon Butler would score to make it 2-0 just 1:45 into the second period. Then, at the 9:15 mark of the period, the Cardinals would make it a 3-0 game on the Tyler Ramm powerplay. The Bengals could cut the difference to 3-1 at the 14:40 mark of the period when Jason Kwestel would score on the powerplay. The Bengals would make it a 3-2 game with 8 seconds left in the period on the Connor Bizal goal.
