Versus Monster Truck Tour @ Fonda Speedway October 10th 2026

Hurricane Force hit the car stack as the spotlight shone on him. Fonda, NY-The roar of monster trucks returned to Fonda Speedway on October 10 as Versus Monster Trucks wrapped up its 2026 season with an action-packed finale featuring monster truck racing and freestyle, quad racing, Power Wheels competitions, the world-record carrot-jumping Versus Bunny, and a Tough Truck competition presented by the Adirondack Jeep Club. Fans packed the speedway to watch a talented field that included Bottom Feeder Motorsports teammates Crushstation and Lumberjack; Como Motorsports entries Anger Management and Loud and Dirty; and Hurricane Force and Joe Fly. Straight-line racing opened with Hurricane Force defeating Lumberjack by half a truck length, while Anger Management powered past Joe Fly by three-quarters of a truck. Crushstation advanced on a bye after Loud and Dirty suffered mechanical issues before the race. In the semifinals, Crushstation defeated Hurricane Force by a truck length, while Anger Management edged Lumberjack by a bumper in the night's closest side-by-side race. Mechanical problems then struck Anger Management, forcing the truck out of the championship round and bringing Lumberjack back into the finals. That set up a special father-versus-son showdown between Greg Winchenbach in Crushstation and Zach Winchenbach in Lumberjack. When the dust settled, experience prevailed as Greg drove Crushstation to the victory, completing a clean sweep of the racing portion of the event. Team New Jersey took the first heat, but Team New York answered with a Heat 2 victory. New Jersey crossed the line first in the main event, but on-track contact sparked controversy. Team New York issued a captain's challenge, and after officials reviewed the incident, they overturned the decision, giving Team New York the overall victory. During intermission, young fans took center stage in the Kids Power Wheels Races while Versus Bunny thrilled the crowd with a world-record carrot jump. The Adirondack Jeep Club also put on an entertaining Tough Truck competition that kept fans engaged throughout the break. Freestyle competition closed out the evening and delivered some of the season's most memorable moments. Crushstation opened the contest with an aggressive, high-flying attack that set the tone. Joe Fly followed with several strong hits on the car stack before attempting the backflip ramp. The truck nearly completed the rotation but fell short, crashing onto its roof in one of the night's wildest moments. Hurricane Force impressed with a steady aerial assault across the obstacle course, while Loud and Dirty launched itself repeatedly in an all-out effort during its final run of the year. Lumberjack paired big air with dramatic tailgate-dragging landings, keeping fans on their feet throughout. Anger Management closed the freestyle competition with a high-speed attack, soaring over the stacks and building toward a backflip attempt. Unfortunately, the truck lost power heading toward the ramp, ending the run just before the anticipated finale. When the scores were announced, Joe Fly's spectacular performance and daring backflip attempt earned the freestyle victory. As the final engines fell silent and fans exited Fonda Speedway, the 2026 Versus Monster Trucks season came to an exciting close, leaving spectators already looking ahead to what the series will bring in 2027. The monster truck lineup featured Bottom Feeder Motorsports teammates Crushtation and Lumberjack, driven by Greg and Zach Winchenbach, respectively, along with Como Motorsports entries Anger Management and Loud and Dirty, piloted by Jesse and Perry Como. Steven Thompson drove Hurricane Force, and Jordan Healey drove Joe Fly, rounding out the field. The race opened with Joe Fly defeating Loud and Dirty after taking the holeshot. In the semifinals, Crushtation eliminated Loud and Dirty, while Hurricane Force edged Joe Fly in one of the afternoon's closest races. In the championship round, Crushtation and Hurricane Force lined up for the final showdown. After a side-by-side battle, Crushtation crossed the line approximately one truck length ahead of Hurricane Force to earn the racing championship. The card also featured a Team New Jersey vs. Team New York quad-racing challenge. Team New Jersey won the first two heat races, but Team New York responded when it mattered most and captured the main-event victory. Intermission activities kept fans entertained with kids' Power Wheels races and an appearance by Versus Bunny, home of the world-record carrot jump. The afternoon concluded with the freestyle competition, where each truck could showcase its creativity and ability. Anger Management opened the freestyle portion of the show with an aggressive attack on the course, launching high over the van stack and attacking the obstacles. Joe Fly followed with a smoke-filled, diesel-powered performance that included several impressive, high-flying, crowd-pleasing moments. Loud and Dirty brought an all-out assault to the track with hard-charging runs and kamikaze-style moves, while Lumberjack thrilled fans with a massive sky wheelie off the Jersey barrier, big air throughout the course, and a series of tailgate-dragging wheelies. Crushtation appeared ready to challenge for the top spot with several strong opening hits, but electrical issues cut the run short before the truck could build momentum. When the judges finalized their scores, Lumberjack earned the freestyle victory with one of the afternoon's most complete performances. Team New Jersey regained control after aggressive racing knocked a Team Vermont rider off his machine. Following the incident, officials ordered a two-lap captain's challenge to determine the overall winner. Team Vermont appeared poised to force another showdown before mechanical problems struck on the white-flag lap, allowing Team New Jersey to secure both the challenge race and the overall Quad Wars victory. Lumberjack with the sky wheelie on the stack of cars right in front of the grandstands for all to see. RANSOMVILLE, N.Y. — The Versus Monster Trucks Tour launched its 2026 campaign Saturday night at Ransomville Speedway, marking the tour’s fifth consecutive visit to the Western New York facility. A near-capacity crowd filled the grandstands as seven trucks from across the United States and Canada stormed into town: Bad News Travels Fast (Brandon Derrow), Crushstation (Zach Winchenbach), Hurricane Force (Steven Thompson Jr.), Joe Fly (Jordan Healey), Loud and Dirty (Perry Como), Lumberjack (Greg Winchenbach), and Rat Nasty (Ryan Como). The program opened with side-by-side racing, eventually narrowing to a final between Bad News Travels Fast and Crushstation. In a tight finish, the Monster Lobster claimed the victory “by a claw,” giving Winchenbach the first win of the season. The Best Trick contest followed, with each truck receiving two attempts and the crowd determining the winner. Brandon Derrow earned the loudest response after carrying a slap wheelie down the frontstretch, securing the victory for Bad News Travels Fast. Intermission featured kids’ Power Wheels races and a three-race quad showdown between Team New York and Team New Jersey. New York won the first two races, New Jersey claimed the third, and a captain’s challenge was ordered to settle the dispute. In the two-lap runoff, New York prevailed after the New Jersey quad broke down. Freestyle closed the night with three-minute runs for each truck. Jordan Healey opened the segment with a backflip attempt that came up short, leaving Joe Fly turtled and ending the run early. Hurricane Force followed with Steven Thompson Jr. delivering a strong wheelie attack across the frontstretch. Loud and Dirty battled motor issues throughout the evening, and Perry Como’s truck finally gave out after only a few hits. The finale belonged to Crushstation, as Zach Winchenbach delivered the strongest combination of high air, momentum, and speed. His run earned the loudest crowd reaction and secured the freestyle championship. The Versus Monster Trucks Tour returns September 19 for two shows at Stateline Speedway in Jamestown, N.Y., before concluding the season October 10 at Fonda Speedway with a two-show championship finale.
