CHURUBUSCO — What began as a long-awaited return in 2025 has quickly become a growing tradition once again. The second annual Pulls at Busco was held during the Churubusco Field Days, bringing the Northern New York Truck and Tractor Pullers back to the community for another day of competition and family entertainment. After nearly two decades without the event, organizers have now completed back-to-back successful years and are already looking ahead to 2027. An estimated 500 spectators attended the pull, supporting both the Churubusco Volunteer Fire Department and the local community. Fans enjoyed 20 classes across multiple divisions, including Altered Stock Tractors, Diesel Trucks, Enhanced Trucks, Modified Tractors, Semi Trucks, Stock Tractors, Stock Trucks, Super Farm Tractors, and Super Stock 4x4 Trucks. The competition began with the stock tractor divisions and progressed through the afternoon before concluding with the Super Stock 4x4 trucks. Among the day's featured winners were Trevor Dibble, who captured top honors in the Super Farm Tractor division driving Cowboy Cadillatic, and Pat Silver, who took first place in his class behind the wheel of Ma and Pa Headache. With another successful event in the books, organizers have already begun planning for the third edition of Pulls at Busco, which is expected to return in the fall of 2027. "We were very pleased with the turnout and support from the community," organizers said. "The goal is to continue growing the event and make it even bigger and better in the years ahead." Gallery
