It would be a game of runs throughout the first half as the Cougars would have as big a lead as ten, and then the Lakers would come back to take the lead by 6, and when the first half ended, it would be Clinton 41-37 as they looked for their second straight win. When the teams returned for the second, the Cougars would look to take control of the game, going up big. Still, the Lakers would keep fighting back,k and with 5 minutes left, they would have a 5-point lead, and the Cougars couldn't make it up as the Lakers would get the 80-77 victory. In the winning effort, the Lakers would go to 2-12 on the season. As for the Cougars, they would go to 4-10 while Jeffrey Weeks would have a 30-point night.
