The Clinton Community College would return home to start the 2026 portion of their season as they would take on the Hudson Valley Community College Vikings in NJCAA Region III action. It would be a game of runs, but the Vikings would always seem to have just a little more or just a little better run, and they would have the 43-33 lead after the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, it would be more of the same. Still, the Cougars would have their chances, getting within a couple of points at different times. Still, mental mistakes down the stretch would cost the Cougars, as they would win the half 44-39 but fall 82-7. In the losing effort for the Cougars, they were led by Jeffrey Collins Weeks III, who went to 3-8 on the season. As for the Hudson Valley Community College Vikings, Julius Reed led the way with 33 points as they improved to 6-8 in the season.
