The Peru Nighthawks celebrate their win and their conference title with the 3-0 win over Northeastern Clinton. It would be a battle in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boys' Soccer as the Northeastern Clinton Cougars would meet up with the Peru Nighthawks in Champlain, New York, as the conference title would be on the line. The Nighthawks would get the lone goal in the first half from Deacon Whittmarsh as they would take the 1-0 lead into the halftime. When the teams returned for the second half, the Nighhawks would stay on the gas pedal, and they would add a pair of goals from Deacon Whittmarsh and Seanan Edwards as they secured the 3-0 victory and were crowned co-champs for the regular season. In the winning effort, the Nighthawks are 12-1 on the season and will finish the season out against Saranac Lake next week. As for the Northeastern Clinton, they will finish their season next week.
