Beekmantown's Justin Stevens (22) lays up off the window for two on the breakaway. It would be the first game of the 2013 edition of the Section 7/10 Challenge with the Beekmantown Eagles and the Brushton-Moria Panthers facing off at Plattsburgh. It would be a tight game for most of other than a run that the Eagles went on in the second half extending it to a 17 point lead. The Panthers would do there best to come back although it would fall short. As the Eagles would get the 56-49 victory with the win the Eagles fo to 2-4 while the Panthers fall to 3-3 on the season. Saranac's Jeffrey Smith (41) with the stick save on the low shot in front of the net for on his 40 plus saves on the night. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Beekmantown Eagles at the Plattsburgh State Field House in a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference match-up. The Eagles would take the early 1-0 lead on Ryan Waterbury's goal at the 5:01 mark. Then with under two minutes left in the period the Eagles would extend it to 2-0 Kyle Bisonette's goal. Then inside the final minute the Eagles would score again with Nathan Foster on the shorthand for the 3-0 lead after one. Then early on in the second period Nathan Foster would get his second goal of the night for the 4-0 lead. Then at the 13:33 mark of the second period the Eagles would take a 5-0 lead on Kyle Bissonette's goal. Then just 1:33 into the third period Nathan Foster would finish off the hat trick for the 6-0 lead. Then at 2:54 of the third period the Eagles would finish off the scoring assault to make it 7-0 on Kyle Bisonette's third of the night. The Chiefs would get a late goal in the third period on a scramble play in front as the Eagles get the 7-1 win. With the win the Eagles go to 3-0 while the Chiefs fall to 0-3-1 on the season. Beekmantown's Michael Parent (27) with the crunching hip check along the end boards. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Niskayuna Mohawks in nonleague hockey action. The 1st period would be a big one for the Eagles as they would light the lamp five times with five different scores Brandon Buksa, Brendan Davison, Tyler Pepper, Nathan Foster, and Kyle Constantly and have a 5-1 lead after one. In the second period it would be more of the same the Eagles would score just one minute in from Brandon Buksa (2nd of the night to make it 6-1. Then in the 11th minute of the period the Eagles would score twice from Callum Sullivan and Syke Dominy to have an 8-1 lead after two. In the third period the Eagles would add one more from Nathan Hebert at the 10:40 mark to secure the 9-1 win. With the win Eagles go to 2-0 on the season. Gallery

St. Lawrence's Holly Zeldenrust (31) makes the stick save on Beekmantown's Madison Beauchemin (26). The St. Lawrence Larries would play the Beekmantown Eagles in Upstate New York Girls Hockey in Malone. The game would start out rough for the Larries as they would give up three first period goals. The second period would be more of the same as they would give up another three to make it 6-0. Then in the last period the Eagles would add another two as the Eagles would cruise to the 8-0 win over the Larries. With the lose the Larries fall to 0-1 on the season. The Larries goaltender Holly Zeldenrust would do her best to keep them alive stopping 52 of 60 shots. Gallery

Beekmantown's Justin Stevens (22) lowers the boom on the Peru defender going for the tackle and carries on for the extra yards. The Beekmantown Eagles and Peru Indians would meet in the Section VII Class B Championship at Ausable Valley with a berth in the state tournament on the line. Beekmantown would take the 7-0 lead on their first drive of the game on a Justin Stevens 11 yard run. Then inside the last minute of the first quarter Justin Stevens would strike again to give the Eagles the 14-0 lead. Peru would get on the broad 11 seconds into the second quarter on a Ryan Lovely 45 yard touchdown reception to make it 14-7. Beekmantown would answer back 4 minutes later on a Devin Fesette 60 yard touchdown run to make it 20-7. Peru's Taylor Avanzato would score on a 5 yard run at 7:52 of the second quarter to make it 20-14. Then to end the second quarter fury Justin Stevens would score from 17 yards out to make it 27-14 with 2.13 left til halftime. In the third quarter Zane Bazzano would have the lone score of a 14-yard touchdown at 8:13 to make it 27-21 Eagles. Then 2:28 Zane Bazzano and the Indians would strike again to give the Indians there first lead of the day. The Eagles wouldn't give up though and after an Indian fumble Justin Stevens would score for his third touchdown of the day to give the Eagles the 33-28 lead and win. With the win the Beekmantown Eagles go to 5-4 on the season and play the Malone Huskies in the Quarterfinals of the State Tournament on November 9th at Ausable Valley. Gallery
