Dirtcar Racing: Seacomm Renegades Triple 15s @ Airborne Speedway May 29th 2021

Nick Heywood (29) and Jamy Begor (19) dive down into turn 1 as they battle for the lead in the late stages of the 30 lap J+S Steel Sportsman Modified A-Main. It would be the fourth weekend of racing at the Airborne Speedway and it would be Triple 15s for the Renegades presented by Seacomm and also in attendance would be the Sportsman Modifieds, and 4 Cylinders. There would be no heat races for the Renegades with the triple 15 setups and the winner on the night would be the driver with the lowest score. The Renegades would get the night started off before the other two classes even had their heat races with segment 1 and getting the win would be Shawn Duquette over the 16 car field although there would be a few that would drop out including Kaleb Shepard with a huge flip on the front stretch and rounding out the top three would be Billy Fountain and Zack Daniels. Then next for the mains would be the 4 Cylinders and after a few issues earlier in the season including a flip on the opening night of the season the win would go to Jake Fountain. Then we would have the second segment of the Renegades triple and getting the win would be Zack Daniels with Shawn Duquette finishing second a keeping a 1 point lead over Daniels. Then we would have the 30 laps J+S Steel Sportsman Modified event and start out front would be a huge help for Nick Heywood as he would lead the earn race and get his first win of the season at Airborne Speedway and his second win on the weekend as he had won at Mohawk the night before. Then to finish off the night it would be the third and final segment for the Renegades and as Jared Blake and Jim Mckerrian would battle up front for the segment win everyone would be watching the battle for third between Shawn Duquette and Zack Daniels as overall would comedown between them to with the eventual win going to Shawn Duquette by 2 points over Zack Daniels. They will be back in action next Saturday night at the Airborne Speedway for a regular show as part of VP Racing Fuels night. Gallery

It would be the second week of racing for Airborne Speedway and the four weekly divisions would all be in action as around 60 cars would grace the pits. With that being said everyone would make their respected main events as there would be no need for an lcq on the night. When the dust settled we thought that the winner would be Shawn Duquette but that win would be taken away as he was disqualified along with second place Zack Daniels so the win would end up in the hand of Joe Daniels. Next up would be the 30 laps main for the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified and it would be a tight battle up front all night between Nick Heywood, DJ Gonyo, Bucko Branham, and David Boisclair.
