The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celebrate as they get a win to advance to the NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Frozen Four. It would be the quarterfinals of the NCAA Women's Hockey Division III Tournament. The Cardinal's and Shannon Stewart would get on the board first at the 7:14 mark of the first period to make it 1-0 Cardinals. The game would stay there all the way till the third period when the Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 on Mellisa Sheeran's power-play goal at the 8:06 mark of the period. The Cardinals would make it a 3-0 game on Bridget Bailey's goal at 10:06. The Tommies would get on the board at the 12:28 mark of the period on a power-play goal by Tori Bailey to make it 3-1. In the final minute of the game, the Cardinals would add an empty netter on Giovanna Senese's goal to secure the 4-1 victory.
