Labor Day Special Presented by Egglefield Ford - Airborne Park Speedway - September 1st 2018
Steve Bernier (25) and Danny Gange (90) go side by side as they battle for second place during the 358 Modified Feature, It would be week 14 at Airborne Park Speedway which would be the Labor Day Special Presented by Egglefield Ford and the last points night for the 358 Modified and the Sportsman Modified. It would be a good night of racing at the Big A with many battles on track and tempers flaring up a couple of times. Although when the dust settled in the 358 Modifieds Steve Bernier would win the race and be crowned the 2018 Track Champion. While in the rest of the racing Jeremy Roy would win the Sportsman Modified race and Nick Heywood would be crowned track champion. While in the Super Stock they would have double feature and Tylor Terry and Michael Wright would get the win. In the Mini-Modifieds Shawn Moquin and Shawn Walker wins the Strictly Stock.
Peru Indians Vs Ticonderoga Sentinels - September 1st 2018
Peru's Austin Carpenter (5) crunches with the Ticonderoga defender along the sidelines fighting for the extra yardage. It would be the opening week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and the last game of the week would feature the Peru Indians and the Ticonderoga Sentinels. The Indians wouldn't take long to jump out to the lead as they would strike with a 71-yard pass to Austin Carpenter 2:06 into the game for the 7-0 lead. On the next defense drive, they would block the punt for a safety and have a 9-0 lead. Then at the 7:41 mark of the first quarter, they would add a 2 yard run from Brayden Miner for the 15-0 lead. Right off in the second quarter, they would score on an 18-yard pass to Austin Carpenter for the 22-0 lead. Then at 4:45 mark of the quarter, they would score on a Kasen Brennan 17 yard touchdown pass for the 28-0 lead at the break. In the second the Indians wouldn't let up as they would score three more times for the 48-0 victory. With the victory, the Indians start there season at 1-0 while the Sentinels fall to 0-1 on the season. Gallery.
Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Saranac Lake Red Storm - August 31st 2018
Plattsburgh's Jayvon Carpenter (23) with the juke at the line to hit the hole and get the gain for the first down. It would be the opening night of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference football season and we would see the Platsburgh Hornets host the Saranac Lake Red Storm. The Hornets would tske the 6-0 lead on the 32 yard run by Lestyn Williams. Lestyn Williams would strike again on a 15 yard run at 8:02 of the first quarter to extend there lead to 13-0. In the first few seconds of the second quarter the Horners would strike again with a 22 yard pass to Zack Bieber to make it 20-0 and thats where the game would be at halftime. When the teams came back for the second half the Horners wouldn't take long to extend the lead as Liam Rascoe would run back the opening kick 88 yards for the 26-0 lead. In the fourth quarter in the last two minutes of the game the Hornets would strike on more time with a 65 yard run by Andrew Swiesz to secure the 32-0 victory. In the winning effort the Plattsburgh Hornets would go to 1-0 while the Saranac Lake Red Storm would fall to 0-1 on the season. Gallery.
Champlain Valley Fair Essex Junction, Vermont - August 26th 2018
Christian Norman and Bigfoot getting some hang time over the car stack and shows off the undercarriage of the truck. It would be the KSR Motorsports annual stop to the Champlain Valley Fair in Essex Junction, Vermont for there Night of Fire and Destruction tour. The would bring six monster trucks Annihilator, Storm Damage, Hurricane Force, Toxic, Bad News Travels Fast along one mini monster Zombie Sniper. They would also have the Quad Wars with Team Vermont Vs Team New Jersey and stunts with Crash Morneau and Tony Pederson. As for the Monster Trucks, they would have a freestyle show only and the unofficial winner would be Bigfoot. As for the quad wars the winner would be Team Vermont 2-1. In the stunts portion of the show they would Tony Pederson and his two-wheel stunts and Crash Morneau doing the human blow torch. Gallery.
Team Livsey Vs Team Braxton - August 26th 2018
Austin Velie with the leaping catch over the middle for the first and big gain. It would be the opening day of the North Country Flag Football League. In the opening game it would be Team Livsey vs Team Braxton. This would be a game that would come down to defense. As Team Braxton would have a 6-0 lead after the first half. In the second half defenses would still reign supreme as Team Braxton would score one more and secure the 13-0 victory. In the winning effort Team Braxton goes to 1-0 while Team Livsey falls to 0-1. Team St. John Vs Team Castine - August 26th 2018
Team Castine's John Southwick shows off the moves after the catch. It would be Team St. John Vs Team Castine to finish off the opening day of the North Country Flag Football season. Team Castine would take a 13-0 lead after the first half. In the second half Team St. John would try to stay with them but Team Castine would be too much for them as they win the half 20-0 and secure the 33-0 victory. In the winning effort, Team Castine would go to 1-0 while Team St. John falls to 0-1 on the season. Gallery.
Military Appreciation Night Presented by Huntley Trucking - Airborne Park Speedway - August 25th 2018
Before we would go racing tonight we would take time to honor men and women who served our countries. It would be Military Appreciation night presented by Huntley Trucking at Airborne Park Speedway. As the season coming to end you could see that people were fighting for those few valuable points to make that late-season push. As there would many cautions throughout the night with guys fighting over the position. As for the winners on the night in the 358 Modified it would be Stephen Bernier, Sportsman Modified Mike Phinney, and Jason McClatchie, Super Stock Tylor Terry Mini-Modifieds Josh LaPorte and in the Strictly Stock Shawn Walker.
Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour Presented by Unique E-Cigs - Airborne Park Speedway - August 18th 2018
Jamie LaFountain (20x) uses the high side to take the lead from Jamy Begor (19) in the Sportsman Modified feature. It would be Dirt Modified Nostalgia night at Airborne Park Speedway with 63 cars among the five regular divisions and 11 for the Nostalgia Tour. As for the racing on the track, it be a very clean night with good racing on track on track. As for the winners on the night it would be Steve Bernier 358 Modified, Jamie LaFountain Sportsman Modified, Jim McKerrian Super Stock, Dave Demore Mini-Modifieds and Michael Daniels in the Strictly Stock.
Super Dirt Series Presented by Phil's Chevrolet - Airborne Park Speedway - July 31st 2018
Danny Johnson (21G) slides it through the first turn on his way to victory in the Super DIRTcar Series event. It would be the return of the Super DIRTcar Series to the Airborne for the second edition of the Battle of Plattsburgh 100. It would great evening of racing as the Super DIRTcar Series, Sportsman Modified, Super Stock and Mini-Modified divisions in action. In the main event of the evening, Matt Shepherd would lead the first 98 laps. On a restart with two laps to go Danny Johnson would get around Matt Shepherd for the victory. Also getting wins on the night would be Jake Speshock in the Sportsman Modified, Tylor Terry in the Super Stock and Cam Gadue in the Mini-Modifieds. The racing will pick back up on August 4th with the third round of the Unquie Cigs Sportsman Modified Series.
Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Glens Falls Greenjackets - July 28th 2018
Elija Parks (35) stretches out through the pile for the touchdown. It would be week four of the Empire Football League and it would feature the Plattsburgh North Stars and the Glens Falls Greenjackets. In the first quarter, the North Stars would score twice from Elija Parks and Tre Bucci for the 14-0 lead. In the second quarter, it would be more of the same as the North Stars would score three times twice from Elija Parks and once by Harry Rascoe. When the teams came back for the second half the North Stars would continue the dominances as they would score twice to secure the 50-0 victory. In the winning effort, the North Stars go to 2-2 on the season. Their next game will be on the road to play Tri-Cities on August 4th. Gallery.
