The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC team Potsdam State Bears in the battle of the North Country. It would be a tight game through the first quarter where the Bears had the slim one point lead at 14-13. When the teams were out for the second quarter the Cardinals would would step it a little bit and win the quarter 16-13 to take a 29-27 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Bears were not going to let the Cardinals walk away and they would win the quarter 22-17 and the Bears would lead 49-46 after the third quarter. In the fourth quarter though the Cardinals would get the last word and win the quarter 26-20 and get the 72-69 victory. In the winning effort Tatlor Durnin would lead the way with 26 points as the Cardinals go to 4-8 on the season.Gallery

The #17 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow North Country foe Potsdam State Bears in SUNYAC action. The Cardinals would show off there 17 ranking in the first half they would cruise out to a 38-27 lead at the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the Bears would not give you up and would win the half 49-41. The game would come down to a Brandon Johnson three pointer with 1.5 seconds left in the game for the Cardinals to get the hard fought 79-76 victory. In the winning effort Chris Middleton would lead the way with seventeen points.Gallery

Manhattanville Valiants Vs Connecticut College Camels - January 5th 2019

The Manhattanville Valiants and the Connecticut College Camels would meet up in the third place game of the 2019 W.B. Mason Winter Classic. The Camels draw first with the goal from Jacob Monreau at 8:51 of the first period bto give them the 1-0 lead after the period. The game would remain there throughout as that would be the loan goal of the game. The Camels goalie Andy Gobbo would make 37 saves four the shutout. With the win the Camels go to 4-8-1 and finish third in the tournament. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs St. Anselm Hawks - January 5th 2019

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celebrate as they are crowned the 2019 W.B. Mason Winter Classic champions. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the St. Anselm Hawks in the 2019 W.B. Mason Winter Classic Championship in front of 1400 people. The Cardinals would strike first and fast as Pat Egan would score just 55 seconds into the game for the 1-0 lead. The Hawks would fight back and tie the game at one with a first period goal at 14:00 with the Mike Ferraro goal. That would be all the scoring on the night through regulation and overtime and the game would finish tied at 1. Although because of the tournament the teams went to a shootout and in the fourth round Pat Egan would send the home folks home happy with the game winner. St. Anslem Hawks Vs Manhattanville Valiants - January 4th 2019

St. Anslem's Colin Soucy (29) with the glove save on the high shot to keep his team in the lead as part of 30 plus save night. The St. Anslem Hawks and the Manhattanville Valiants would face off in the semi-finals on the W.B. Mason Winter Classic. The Valiants would draw first blood with a goal at 1:19 from Matt Lippa for the 1-0 lead in the first period. The Hawks would come back and tie the game at 10:47 of the first period on the Dave Almendia goal. The Valiants would regain the 1 goal lead with 13 seconds left in the first period on the Matt Lippa second goal of the night. When the teams came back for the second period Matt Lippa would finish of the hat trick with the goal at 4:30 of the period. The Hawks would cut the lead in half with the goal by Bryan Green at 17:04 of the second period at 3-2. The Hawks would tie the game up at 3 as Sean Verrier scores in the final minute of the period. When the teams came back for the third period the Hawks would score twice in the first 6:30 of the period for the 5-3 lead. Then with 4:30 left in the game the Valiants Eric Berglund would score on the shorthand to make it a 5-4 game. Although the Hawks would ice the game away with the empty netter for the 6-4 victory. In the winning effort the St. Anslem Hawks would advance to the Championship of the W.B. Mason Winter Classic against the Plattsburgh State Cardinals. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Mike Falanga (10) puts the puck to the top shelf over the outstretched goalie for the goal. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Connecticut College Camels in front of 1400 fans in the W.B. Mason Winter Classic Semi-Finals. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game from Mike Falanga at 15:37 of the first period for the 1-0 lead. Then over the next over the next 1:45 the Cardinals would add two more goals from Charles Barber and Jesse Neher and the Camels would add one as we well to make it a 3-1 game. Thats where the game would stay til the 4:13 mark of the second period when Ryan Kuhn would score to make it 4-1. Then at the 11:21 mark of the period Ryan Kuhn would score on the powerplay to make it a 5-1 game. The Camels would strike back two minutes later with a goal of there to make it 5-2. Although that would be all the scoring on the night as the teams went scoreless in third period and the Cardinals get the 5-2 victory. With the win the Cardinals advance to the finals of the W.B. Mason Winter Classic and will face the St. Anslem Hawks for the title. Gallery.

The Adirondack Thunder would host the Manchester Monarchs in the East Coast Hockey League in front of 3400 people. The game would remain scoreless until 57 seconds into the second period when Thompson would score for the Thunder to take the 1-0 lead. The Thunder would extend the lead to 2-0 on Salhany last-second goal. The Thunder would extend there lead to 3-0 on Bradshaw's goal at the 7:27 mark of the third period. The Monarchs would do there best to get back in the game with two late third period goals to make it 3-2. Although it would not be enough as the Thunder would hold on for the 3-2 victory. The Saints would come out use the home court to there advantage and take a 36-25 lead at the break. When the teams back for the second half they would take complete control of the game and win the half 39-29 and cruise to the 75-54 victory. Manchester Monarchs @ Adirondack Thunder - December 28th 2019

The Adirondack Thunder would get the opening goal of the game from Mike Szmatula goal at 7:35 of the first period. The game would stay there till the 12 minute mark of the second period when Kevin Lough would score to make it 2-0 lead. Then early on in the third period the Thunder would extend there lead to 3-0 on the Kelly Summers goal, Although the Monarchs would not go quietly as they add two goals during the period and make it a 3-2 game. The Thunder would put the icing on the cake late in the game when Conor Riley would score and get the 4-2 victory. In the winning effort Alex Sakellaropoulos would make 33 saves as the Thunder go to 16-9-2-2 on the season. Gallery,/a>

The Vermont Catamounts would host the Northeastern Huskies in nonconference action. The game would be right where it started at the half as the teams were tied at 29 at the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the Catamounts would take control of the game and at one point have a 13 point lead although the Huskies would not go away and would get it down to five points as Vermont would win the half 46-41 and secure the 75-70 victory. In the winning effort, the Catamounts go to 8-3 on the season as Anthony Lamb leads the way 17 points next up for Vermont is St. Bonaventure. Gallery
