It would be the fourth game of the day from the Clinton Community College gym on the second day of championship weekend, and it would see the #1 Moriah Vikings and the #3 Ticonderog Setinels in the classic rivalry for the Class C Championship. It would be a high-scoring game to start the first eight minutes as the Vikings would race out to an 18-10 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Vikings would start to take control of the game with a 16-8 quarter and take the 34-18 lead into the intermission. When the teams would return for the third quarter, the high pace of the game would continue as the Vikings would win the quarter at 18-13 and take the 52-31 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Vikings would keep control and put the icing on the game with a 16-7 quarter to secure the 68-38 victory. In the winning effort for the Moriah Vikings, they punched their return ticket to the New York State Class C Tournament as Cooper Allen led the team with 27 points, and they went to 16-5 in the season. The Moriah Vikings are crowned the 2024-25 Section VII Class C Boys' Basketball champions with a 68-38 victory over the Ticonderoga Sentinels. It would be the second game of the opening day of Section VII Basketball championship weekend; It would see a battle between the top 2 seeds in Class C Girls Basketball as we would have the #1 Moriah Vikings and the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels. The upset-minded Sentinels would have the lead early by the slim 10-9 margin after the first quarter. When the second quarter came around, the Vikings would go on a run, have a 13-2 quarter, and take the 22-15 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Vikings would keep their hor roll going as they double up the Sentinels with an 11-6 quarter and take the 33-21 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Sentinels would do their best to try and get back in the game with a 16-12 quarter, but it would not be enough as the Vikings would get the 45-37 victory. In the winning effort for the Moriah Vikings, Emily Nephew would lead the way with 11 points as they go to 17-4 on the season and advance to the New York State Class C Girls' Basketball Tournament. The Moriah Vikings celebrate as they get the game-winning goal in overtime against the Ticonderoga Sentinels. It would be the Section vii Class C Girl's Soccer championship. The #1 Moriah Vikings take on the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels for the right to enter the New York State tournament and take on the winner of Section X on November 6th. Both teams would have their chances throughout the match, including a goal by the Vikings that called back on a handball, and the scoreless match would continue. The regular 80th minutes would not be good today as they would head to overtime. In the 97th minute, the Vikings would finally get the first and only goal of the game from Alexis Mascarenas to secure their spot in the state tournament with their undefeated season at 17-0. They will take on #8 Lisbon Knights in the tournament's opening round. Gallery

The #1 Moriah Vikings take on the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels for the right to enter the New York State tournament and take on the winner of Section X on November 6th. Both teams would have their chances throughout the match, including a goal by the Vikings that called back on a handball, and the scoreless match would continue. The Moriah Vikings are crowned the 2024 Section VII Class C Champions with their 37-33 victory over the Ticonderoga Sentinels. It would be the second game of the day from the Clinton Community College and this time it would be for the Section VII Class C Girls Basketball finals in front of another great crowd. It would get off to a slow start as both teams were feeling the pressure of the championship game and the upset-minded Sentinels would have the slim lead at 8-6 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Vikings would start to find their shot and groove on the court as they would have an 11-6 quarter and take the lead at 17-14 as the teams broke for the intermission. When they did return though the Sentinels would come back regrouped and focused as they would have a 13-8 quarter and take the slim 2-point lead at 27-25 as they entered the championship quarter in that quarter the Vikings would answer the bell and shut the Sentinels with a 12-6 quarter and get the Section VII C Girls Basketball title with a 37-33 victory. In the winning effort for the Vikings Hannah Bedore would lead the way with a 13-point afternoon. Next for the Vikings will be the NYSPHSAA Class C Tournament and game back at Clinton Community on Saturday, March 9th against the winner of a game between the winner of Section X and II for the right to go to the state final four at Hudson Valley Community College. Ticonderoga's Cassidy Mattison (11) with the block on Plattsburgh's Ava Weiss (14) as she drove the lane for the score. The Ticonderoga Sentinels and the Plattsburgh Hornets would start off the 2024 portion of their season at the Plattsburgh High School in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action. The game would be tight through the first quarter and the Hornets would hold a slight lead at 15-14. In the second quarter, the Hornets would start to pull away as they held Ticonderoga to four points while scoring ten and taking a 25-18 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Hornets would keep on the gas and have a 13-9 quarter and take a 38-27 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Sentinels would do their best to get back in the game with an 18-15 quarter but the Hornets would take the 53-45 win. In the win, the Hornets would get back to the 500 mark at 5-5 while the Sentinels would only suffer their second loss of the season and go to 8-2. Gallery
