Saranac's Evan Patrie (6) does the splits as the Blue Streaks defender is dragging him down as he rounds the corner with the puck. It would be the Saranac Spartans and the #12 Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks to finish a doubleheader of hockey action from the Wiebel Arena at the Saratoga Ice Rinks. Then, just 26 seconds later, the Blue Streaks would make it 2-0 when Daniel Klochaney would score to give the Blue Streaks the 2-0 lead, and that's where the first period would end. The Spartans would come out in the second period and answer right off as Nolan Miner would score three minutes to make it a 2-1 game early in the second period. The game would stay there till the 12:15 mark of the period when the Blue Streaks would regain their two-goal lead at 3-1 when Ryan Barlow would score. Then, just over two minutes later, the Blue Streaks would extend their lead to 4-1 when Declan Corcoran would score, and the period would end at 4-1. In the third period, defense would be the name of the game on both teams as the Blue Streaks would get the lone goal of the period with 23 seconds left on the powerplay goal from Daniel Klochaney for the second goal of the game as the Blue Streaks secured there 5-1 win. It would be more of the same throughout the second period until the Blue Streak would hit again this time on the powerplay and make it 2-0 on the Maddox Pemrick with just over two minutes left. The Blue Streaks wouldn't waste long in the third period in extending the lead to 3-0 on the Grady Frasier goal just 1:27 in. Although the Chiefs would answer right back and get on the board just 6 seconds later on the Evan Patrie goal to make it a 3-1 game.
