Malone's Emily Marshall (7) waits on Canton's Lauren Smith (7) for the tag on the attempted steal of third base. The #16 Malone Huskies would host the Canton Golden Bears in Section X action. The Huskies would take the 3-0 lead in the third inning with the help of Anna Sharlows RBI single. The Huskies would add another run in the fourth to make it 4-0 on Erin McDonald's RBI single. Then in the fifth, they would extend the lead to 6-0 with two runs with the help Janelle Headen's RBI single. Malone Huskies Vs Salmon River Shamrocks May 5 2014
Malone's Abe Gravell (12) with the diving catch on the looper over the mound. The Malone Huskies would host the Salmon River Shamrocks in section x action. The Huskies would take the 1-0 lead in the first on Abe Gravell's sacrifice fly. In the second inning, the Huskies would break the game wide open with a seven-run inning to make it 8-0. Then they would keep it going in the third and score four more runs and extend the lead to 12-0. The Shamrocks would avoid the shutout in the fifth to make it 12-1. Although the Huskies would answer back in the bottom of the inning to make it 13-1 to secure the victory. Malone's Blake Lewis (7) with the diving catch out in the center field to save a base hit. The Malone Huskies would host the #11 Peru Indians in non-league action. The Indians would take the 1-0 lead in the second inning when Connor Casey would score on the wild pitch. Although the Huskies would come right back in the bottom of the inning and score fours on one play as the Indians would through the ball around like a hot potato and take a 4-1 lead. The Indians would come back in the third inning and get one on Mitch Cunningham RBI single to make it 4-2. Although the game would not get any closer and the Huskies would have some great defense and secure the 4-2 victory. The Malone Huskies would host the Massena Red Raiders in the home opener to start the Section X season. The Huskies would take the quick 2-0 lead in the first. Malone's Tucker Bartenslager (3) with the hard hit on the Norwood Norfolk skater that sends him to the ice. The Malone Huskies would be the underdog as they would host the #13 Norwood-Norfolk Icemen on Senior Night in Section X Division II action. The Icemen would get the opening goal at 5:46 of first on Kaden Pickering's goal. Then at the 10:28 mark of the first, the Icemen would make it 2-0 on Jeff Mott's goal. Then just over a minute later the Huskies would cut the lead in half at 2-1 on Jake Schraf's goal. Then just 1:47 into the second the Huskies would tie the game at two on Tucker Bartenslager's goal. Then starting at 9:49 the Icemen would get three goals in two minutes to make it a 5-2 game on goals from Zeb Brown, Kaden Pickering (second of night), and Coby Munson. Then just 1:47 into the third Bailey Conklin would score to make it 5-3 game. Then just over three minutes later Bailey Conklin would score again to make it a one-goal game at 5-4. Then at 6:04 Kaden Pickering would strike again and complete the hat trick and make it a 6-4 game. Then with just over a minute left the Icemen would get an empty netter from Zeb Brown (second of the night) for the 7-4 Icemen win. In the losing effort, the Huskies goaltenders would combine for 25 saves as the Huskies fall to 6-13-1 on the season. The Huskies now move on to the sectional playoffs where they will host the Alexander Bay/Thousand Island Islanders. Gallery.

The Malone Huskies would meet up with the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen in Section X Division 2 action. The Icemen would waste little time in taking the 1-0 lead at the three-minute mark of the first period from Colby Munson. The game would stay there till 12:23 of the period when Brandon Palmer would make it 2-0 Icemen. Then in the final minute of the first period, Johan Eksing would score for the Huskies on the power play to make it 2-1. The Icemen would regain the two-goal lead at 3-1 2:30 into the second period on Zeb Brown's goal. The Icemen would extend the lead to 4-1 at 8:40 on Shane Cryderman's goal. The Icemen would continue at the 13:17 mark and make it 5-1 on Austin Cousineau's goal. In the third period, it would be more of the same as the Icemen would score at 2:11 Coby Munson's second goal of the night to make it 6-1. Then at 5:30 of the period, the Icemen would make it 7-1 on Tristen Harvey's goal. Then at 10:29, the Huskies would finally light the lamp again on Bailey Conklin's power-play goal to make it 7-2. Then just to finish it off Icemen's Zeb Brown would get his second of the night to secure the 8-2 victory.
