The Bulldogs would definitely be the better dog on this day as they would get the straight-sets win (25-11, 25-17, 25-18). The story of the game would be the Bulldogs' netplay and their teamwork as they move to 5-0. Gallery

Section 7/10 Challenge Malone Huskies Vs Peru Indians January 14th 2017

Malone's Hunter Swan(5) with the floater in the lane for the score. It would be the third game of the Section 7/10 Challenge as the Malone Huskies would face off with the Peru Indians. The Huskies would job out to the 21-14 lead at the break. When the teams returned for the second half the Indians would claw the whole way and win the half 36-29 and force overtime tied at 50. In that overtime period, Malone would win it 9-4 and secure the 59-54 victory. With the loss, the Peru Indians fall to 4-8 while Malone goes to 6-7 on the season. Gallery.

Northeastern Clinton Cougars Vs Malone Huskies January 15th 2016

Northeastern Clinton's (6) with the hard body check on the Malone defender along the boards to gain control of the puck. It would be a non-league affair between the Malone Huskies and the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. The Cougars would strike first at the 8:50 mark of the first period on Gonyo's goal. The game would stay there till 9:03 mark of the second when Gonyo would strike again this time on the power play to make it 2-0. The Cougars would extend the lead to 3-0 on Dupee's goal late in the second period. The Huskies would get on the board at the 51-second mark of the third period to make it 3-1 on the power play. Then at 5:10 mark of the period, Benware would strike again to make it a 3-2 game. The Huskies would fight the rest of the game but their efforts would come shortly as the Cougars get the 3-2 win. In the winning effort, the Cougars goalies would combine for 24 saves as the Cougars go to 6-6 on the season. Gallery

The Malone Huskies would meet up with the Peru Indians at the Plattsburgh State Field House as part of the Section 7/10 Challenge. It would be defensive first half with the Huskies having the low scoring 23-20 lead at the break. In the second half the Peru offense would come alive and be to much the Huskies to deal with as the Indians win the half 37-23. With the half going to the Indians by such a big margin they would get the come from behind win 57-46. In the losing effort for the Huskies Connor Gallager would lead the team with 12 points. The Malone Huskies would meet up with the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen in Section X Division 2 action. The Icemen would waste little time in a taking the 1-0 lead at the three minute mark of the first period from Colby Munson. The game would stay there til 12:23 of the period when Brandon Palmer would make it 2-0 Icemen. Then in the final minute of the first period Johan Eksing would score for the Huskies on the power play to make it 2-1. The Icemen would regain the two goal lead at 3-1 2:30 into the second period on Zeb Brown's goal. The Icemen would extend the lead to 4-1 at 8:40 on Shane Cryderman's goal. The Icemen would continue at the 13:17 mark and make it 5-1 on Austin Cousineau's goal. In the third period it would be more of the same as the Icemen would score at 2:11 Coby Munson's second goal of the night to make it 6-1. Then at 5:30 of the period the Icemen would make it 7-1 on Tristen Harvey's goal. Then at 10:29 the Huskies would finally light the lamp again on Bailey Conklin's power play goal to make it 7-2. Then just to finish it off Icemen's Zeb Brown would get his second of the night to secure the 8-2 victory. In the losing effort Joe Brown would make 34 saves as the Huskies fall to 2-1 on the season. The game would stay there till the 6-minute mark of the second period when Hornet's Devin Clarke would score to make it 1-1. The Huskies would regain the lead at 2-1 on Evan Keegan's goal at 12:59 of the second period. Then at 2:57 of the third period Huskies, Kyler Head would make it 3-1 with a shorthanded goal. Then at the 8:42 mark of the third, the Hornet's would do there best to get back in the game with a power-play goal by Andrew Bechard to make it 3-2. Although it wouldn't be enough and from there the Huskies would hold on for the 3-2 victory. In the winning effort, Malone's Joey Brown makes 28 saves and the Huskies go to 1-0 on the season. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would defeat the Malone Huskies 2-0 in the best of three. The scores of the two games would be 25-9, and 25-10.
