It would be the Seton Catholic Knights' last home game and senior night as they would host the Northern Adirondack Bobcats in Section VII Boy's Soccer action. The Bobcats would waste little time and get the game's opening goal in the third minute from Kaleb Guay to give them the early 1-0 lead. Then, in the 22nd minute of the game, the Bobcats would stay on the gas and add another one, this time from Calvin Magoon, to make it 2-0 Bobcats, and that's how the first half would end for scoring. When the teams return for the second half, the Bobcats stay on the attack and add another goal in the 62nd minute as they extend their lead to 3-0 on the goal from Donovan Turner. Then, in the 72nd minute, the Bobcats would end the scoring on the Shane Gilmore goal as they would secure their 4-0 win. In the winning effort, the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would go to 8-4-1 as they will finish their regular season tomorrow at Beekmantown. With the shot on net, Lake Placid's (9) would have one of the two Blue Bombers goals as they get the 2-0 lead. It would be senior day at Seton Catholic, where they would celebrate the first class of seniors to play on their new school field at halftime and host the Lake Placid Blue Bombers. The game would be tight through the first half as both teams would have their chances, but no one could put in the net for a score. When the teams returned for the second half, the Blue Bombers answered early with a goal in the 49th minute to give them the 1-0 lead. Then, in the game's closing minutes, the 76th to be exact, the Blue Bombers would add a second goal to secure the 2-0 win. In the winning effort, the Lake Placid Blue Mombers would go to 6-7-1 on the season as they head into their weekend contest against the Northern Adirondack Bobcats. Plattsburgh's Nate Baker (4) shot from a distance and scored. He would have one goal as the Hornets and Cougars would tie at 2. It would be Section VII Boy's Soccer action from the Plattsburgh High Athletic Complex as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Northeastern Clinton Cougars as the teams start to focus on the playoffs and a conference title. The home Hornets would waste little time getting the game's opening goal in the 9th minute from Nate Baker for the 1-0 lead. The Cougars would come fighting back and tie the game in the 17th minute on the Evais Carpenter goal to make it a 1-1 game. Then the Hornets would find a way to answer that and regain the 1-goal lead at 2-1 on the Nate Lambert goal. However, the Cougars would not let that lead stand as they would answer right back 2 minutes later in the 28th minute on the Kaze Carpenter goal to tie the game at 2. From there, the defenses and the goalkeepers would stand tall as there would be no more scoring through the regulation and the two overtimes, and the game would end in a 2-2 tie. The Hornets will go to 8-2-2 on the season as they head into their next game Friday at home against the Ausable Valley Patriots. Chazy's Pryce Parker (9) bends in the shot on the net as he would have a goal in the Chazy 9-1 victory. It would be a match-up inside Section VII Boy's Soccer action with a pair of mountain valley teams doing battle at Seton Catholic as the Knights would host the #5 Chazy Eagles, looking to stay undefeated on the season. The Eagles would waste little time getting the game's first goal at the 13-minute mark from Jacoby Weeden for the 1-0 lead. Then the Eagles would add another couple of goals from Landon Duprey, and the Eagles would take the 3-0 lead. The Eagles weren't down, though; in the 38th minute, they would extend the lead to 4-0 on a goal from Pryce Parker. Then, to finish out the half, they would get one more from Landon Duprey to finish off his hat trick and give the Eagles a 5-0 lead at the break. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would stay on the gas and add another goal in the 50th minute, this time from Jack Rovers, as they took the 6-0 lead. Then, in the 62nd minute, the Knights would get on the board to avoid the shutout on the goal by 2. In the 70th minute, the Eagles would stay on the take and get a goal from Hudson Ziel as they took the 7-1 lead and added one more late to secure the 8-1 victory. With the win, the Chazy Eagles improve their record to 11-1 on the season as they will take on the Saranac Lake Red Storm on Thursday. Saranac Lake (9) comes in on the slide tackle of Peru's Ryan Campbell (9) to break up the attack. Althogh the Peru Nighthawks would get the 6-0 win on this Friday afternoon. We would have Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Soccer action as the #9 Peru Nighthawks would host the Saranac Lake Red Storm as they were looking to keep their undefeated season going. The Nighthawks would waste little time getting the lead as they would take the 1-0 lead just ten minutes into the game on the Declan Baker goal. Then, as time would expire on the opening half, the Nighthawks would extend their lead to 2-0 on the Zach Benson buzzer beater. The Nighthawks would come out of the locker room hot and extend their lead to 3-0 in the 43rd minute on the Collin Powers goal, and he would add two more in ten minutes to have a hat trick and give the Nighthawks a commanding 5-0 lead. Then, to end the game in the 65th minute, Alex Watts would score to give the Nighthawks the 6-0 lead and then hold on from there for the shutout victory and go to 11-0-1 on the season as they head into their next match on October 18th against the Beekmantown Eagles. As for the Saranac Lake Red Storm, they fall to 6-7 in the season, and they will look to get back to 500 in the year as they take on Boquet Valley on October 15th. Gallery

It would be a battle inside the top 20 as the #18 Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #13 Beekmantown Eagles inside the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls's Soccer action as both teams start to make that late-season push for the playoffs. The Eagles would start the scoring in the 7th minute of the game as Grace McCasland scored to make it 1-0. The game would stay there till the 30th minute when Grace McCasland would strike again and make it a 2-0 Eagles lead, and that's where the first-half scoring would end. When the teams returned for the second half, the Eagles would stay on the attack and extend their lead to 3-0 in the 47th minute on the goal from Carly Hagadorn. The Hornets would get on the board in the 63rd minute on the goal from Bailey Hewson, and there would be a bit of history as she would get her 100th point in her career, making it a 3-1 game. From there, the Eagles' defense would take control of the game, and that's where the game would end. The Eagles, with their win, would stay perfect on the season at 11-0, while the Hornets would fall to 9-2 on the season. Gallery

Seton Catholic's (6) with the goal as the Knights extend the lead to 2-0 and get their second win of the season. There would be Section VII Boy's Soccer action from Seton Catholic as the Knights would host the Ausable Valley Patriots. The game would go back and forth throughout most of the first half until the Knights would get on the board first with their goal in the 35th minute to give them the 1-0 lead, and that's how the first half would end. Then, when the teams would return for the second half, it would stay the same back and forth, and the Knights would double up their lead at 2-0 on the 58th-minute goal. From there, the Knights would hold on as they get their second win of the season and go to 2-6. They will look to gain on that as they take on Boquet Valley on October 10th. As for the Ausable Valley, the Patriots will fall to 1-8 on the season and will be back in action on October 10th against Saranac Lake. Gallery

Plattsburgh's Soumar Bachawaty (10) comes in on the break and beats the goalie for the goal as the Hornets take the 3-1 lead. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #9 undefeated Schroon Lake/Newcomb Wild Huskies in Section VII Boy's Soccer action from the Plattsburgh High Sports Complex. The Hornets would get the game's opening goal in the 12th minute from Nate Baker as the Hornets struck first for the 1-0 lead. The Wild Huskies would not go quietly, though, as they would keep coming and tie the game in the 24th minute on the Austin Hartwell to make it a 1-1 game. However, in the final minute of the first half, the Hornets would retake the lead on the Soumar Bachawatyscore, and that's how the first half would end. The Hornets would come out of the break trying to get that two-goal lead, and they would get it in the 52nd minute on the goal from Chase Laravia for the 3-1 lead, and that's where the game would end. With the win, the Hornets would go to 7-2-1 in the season and will be back in action Thursday as they travel to Beekmantown and take on the Eagles. As for the Wild Huskies, they will be right back tomorrow against the Keene Beavers as they suffer their first loss of the season and go to 9-1 on the season. Gallery
