When the teams would return for the second half, the Generals would come out on fire, and the Cougars would not have any answer for them as the Generals would win the half 50-33. The Clinton Community College Cougars would return home for the first time in 11 days as they would take on the Hudson Valley Community College Renegades at the campus gym. When the teams return for the second half, the offenses come with them, and the game turns into a track meet, with the Vikings winning the half 51-44 to get the road win 89-83. Although the Cougars would have their chances down the stretch and even have the lead with about three minutes left in the game. NJCAA Division III Region III Men's Soccer: Onondaga Comunity College Lazers @ Clinton Commuty Cougars September 22nd 2024
Clinton Community College's Cyle Marshall (22) crashes into the Onondaga Community College goalie Emir Hodzic on the scoring attempt. It would be the final home game of the season for the Clinton Community College Cougars at the Plattsburgh State Fieldhouse as they would take on the 5-0-3 Onondaga Community College Lazers. The game would start well for the Lazers as they would score twice in the first five minutes from Josh Dabbiero and Kyle Partington for the early 2-0 lead. From there I thought the Cougar's defense would stand strong for the first half and that's where we would stand at the end of one. When the teams returned for the second half Kyle Partingtonfor the Lazers would score three straight goals in fourteen minutes to give the 5-0 lead. Then in the 70th minute, the Lazers would add another goal this time from Samuel Spicer, and take the 6-0 lead. Although a minute later the Cougars would finally get on the board and make it a 6-1 game on the Harvey Merrill goal. Then in the 88th minute, the Lazers would add another goal from Josh Dabbiero his second of the game as the Lazers secured the 7-1 victory. In the winning effort for the Lazers, they go to 6-0-3 on the season. As for the Cougar, Zamir Foster would make 16 saves on the evening but still fall to 1-7 on the season as they head out on the road next weekend to take on SUNY Niagra and Erie Community College. North Country Community College Saints @ Clinton Community Cougars September 15th 2024
Clinton Community College's Harvey Merrill (2) and North Country Community College's Elijah White (27) battle for the ball along the end lines as the Cougars try to keep the attack going. We would have NJCAA Region III Men's Soccer from the Plattsburgh State Field House as the Clinton Community College Cougars would host the North Country Community College Saints as they would be benefiting the American Cancer Society. Both teams would come into the game looking to right their early season woes and get back on the right track. The Cougars would get the game's opening goal as Ben Burdo would give them the 1-0 lead 11 minutes in. The Saints would not let that get them down as they would keep fighting and Jon Snell would score on the penalty kick in the 22nd minute to tie the game up at one. The Cougars would be relentless though and not give up as they would keep coming and be able to retake the one-goal lead at 2-1 on the Cyle Marshall goal and that would end the scoring for the first half. The Cougars would come out of the locker room on fire as they would have the rare lead to start the half and they would answer with Ben Burdo's second goal of the game in the 61st minute to expand their lead to 3-1. Although the Saints would not give up they would keep fighting back and make it a one-goal game again in the 74th minute as Jon Snell would get his second goal of the game and make it a 3-2 game. The Cougars would not be throwing off their game answer right back 2 minutes later and regain their goal lead at 4-2 on Ben Burdo's hat trick goal and from there the Cougars would hold on for the win and their first of the season at 4-2. In the winning effort, Zamir Foster would make 6 saves as they go to 1-5 on the season. As for the North Country Community College Saints, Marc Bechard would make ten saves on the day but it would not be enough as they fell to 0-5 on the season. The Clinton Community College Cougars will look to build on this win as they head into their next game on September 18th against Hudson Valley Community College. Gallery

The half would not improve in the last 30 minutes as they would give up another two goals and trail by a score of 5-0 after the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, the game would not get any better for the home Cougars as they would give up another 7 goals in the half, lose the game 12-0, and fall to 0-4 on the season.
