The Colton-Pierrepont Colts are crowned the 2024 Northern Region Champions with a 2-0 victory. It would be the NYSPHSAA Northern Region Finals from the Plattsburgh State Field House and feature a couple of top 5 teams in the state, with the #3 Colton-Pierrepont Colts taking on the #5 Chazy Eagles. The game would be tight throughout the first half as both teams would have chances to get the match's opening goal but would head to the locker room tied at 0. When the teams returned for the second half, it would be more of the same as it was starting to look like we were headed to overtime. The Colts would get a pair of goals in the final ten minutes as they would secure the 2-0 victory, punch their ticket to the final four next weekend in Cortland, and enter with an undefeated record at 18-0-2. Chazy's Brooke Stephens (20) with the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Chazy Eagles the 1-0 victory. It would be the section VII Class D girls' Soccer championship from Beekmatown High School as the #1 Chazy Eagles would take on the #2 Boquet Valley Griffins with a birth in the New York State tournament and take on the winner of Section X, the following weekend. Both teams would have their chances throughout the afternoon, but neither could get a ball into the net. Both teams would have a chance to reach the winning goal. However, the game would lead to sudden death over time when deciding on a champion on this day. The Chazy Eagles would get the game-winning goal in the 87th minute from Brooke Stephens to give the 1-0 victory.
