Beekmantown's Edward Sweenor (56) with the bunch crunching hit on the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid skater into the boards and glass. It would be a matchup inside the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena between the host Beekmantown Eagles and the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers as we stretch in the season. The game would be tight through the first 20 minutes, as there would be no scoring. The Eagles would finally get the game's first goal to break the ice at the 1:24 mark of the period on the Pierce Dominy goal. The Eagles would waste little time making it a 2-0 game on Novak Jarus's goal just 34 seconds later. Then, with just over two minutes left in the period, the Eagles would extend the lead to 3-0 on Novak Jarus's power-play goal and his second of the game to end the second period. When the teams returned for the third period, the Lakers wasted little time getting back into the game as they scored twice in the first six minutes from Ayden McCormick and Braden Harvey to make it a 3-2 game. The Eagles would return in the 7th minute and take the two-goal lead back on the Pryce Parker goal at 4-2. From there, the Eagle's defense would hold the Lakers in check and get the 4-2 win as they go to 10-5-2, and Jack Bell would make 17 saves as they head into a tournament this weekend at Salmon River. As for the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers, Cassidy Goodman would make 33 saves as they fall to 6-9-1 on the season and head to their regular-season finale against the Malone Huskies. Gallery
