The Cardinals would waste little time extending their lead to 2-0 on Tessa Morris's goal 2 minutes later. The game would remain there till the 11:05 mark of the third period when Mae Olshansky would score for the Cardinals and make it a 3-0 game. Then, to finish off the scoring for the Cardinals, a minute later, Kate Conlon lights the lamp and makes it a 4-0, and that's where the game would finish. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Chloe Lewis would make nine saves on the day for the shutout, and the Cardinals would go to 4-1.
