The Mustangs would finally be able to get on the board at the 9:03 mark of the third period when they would light the lamp on the Evan Fraccaro power play goal. The Cardinals would waste little time regaining their three-goal lead when Ryan Poorman scored a shorthanded goal 40 seconds later, making it a 4-1 game. The Cardinals would control the game from there for the win as they go to 3-3 on the season. Jacon Hearne would make 11 saves on the night, and they go to 3-3 season.
