The Moriah Vikings are crowned the 2024 Section VII Class C champions with there 1-0 win over Ticonderoga in double overtime. It would be the Section vii Class C Girl's Soccer championship. The #1 Moriah Vikings take on the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels for the right to enter the New York State tournament and take on the winner of Section X on November 6th. Both teams would have their chances throughout the match, including a goal by the Vikings that called back on a handball, and the scoreless match would continue. The regular 80th minutes would not be good today as they would head to overtime. In the 97th minute, the Vikings would finally get the first and only goal of the game from Alexis Mascarenas to secure their spot in the state tournament with their undefeated season at 17-0.
