The Cougars would come fighting back and tie the game in the 17th minute on the Evais Carpenter goal to make it a 1-1 game. Then the Hornets would find a way to answer that and regain the 1-goal lead at 2-1 on the Nate Lambert goal. However, the Cougars would not let that lead stand as they would answer right back 2 minutes later in the 28th minute on the Kaze Carpenter goal to tie the game at 2. From there, the defenses and the goalkeepers would stand tall as there would be no more scoring through the regulation and the two overtimes, and the game would end in a 2-2 tie. The Hornets will go to 8-2-2 on the season as they head into their next game Friday at home against the Ausable Valley Patriots.
