It would be a photo finish in the Pro Stock main as Luke Horning (2h) would beat out Mac Lalonde (8) by 12 thousand of a second for the win and the thousand-dollar paycheck. It would be a jammed-packed night of racing at the Airborne Park Speedway with around 110 cars in the pits as we celebrate Independence Day and the 70th anniversary of the speedway. The J+S Steel Sportsman Modified would be the featured attraction on the night with the Firecracker 44 2k to win race along with the Pro Stocks 1k to win and the Renegades and Mini Stocks. The night would start with time trails for the Sportsman Modified and the fastest time would go to Donovan Lussier. Then there would be the heat races for the Sportsman Modified and the Pro Stocks and then onto the features. The first feature out of the box would be 1 of the 2 for Moore Recycling Mini Stocks and would see Glen Engstrom get the lead off the start but there would be a charger coming from mid-pack and get the lead and pull away as Speedy Bressette would get his second win on the season. Then next up would be the 9th State Cannabis Renegades 25 lap main and Travis Stokes would get the lead off the start but there would be a pair of cats that would come charging from the middle of the pack as Tylor Terry and Shawn Duquette would charge up putting a show on for the fans and in the end, Tylor Terry would get the win over Shawn Duquette and Bill Thwaits to finish off the top 3. Then we would have the Last Chance Qualifier for the Sportsman Modified would see 14 take the green and we would take 6 to the main and Evan Roberts would get the win over Craig Wholey, Anthony Warren, Eric Shaw, Matt Lavalley, Geoege Foley as they transfer to the main event. Then we would have the second feature on the night for the Moore Recycling Mini Stocks and we would keep it in the family as Steven Bressette would get the win over Rick Doner and Caleb Tourville. Next up would be the Pro Stocks 25 lapper with 1 thousand going to the winner. The race would take a pit to get going as there were a couple of early race accidents on the track but when things got settled out there would be a show-up front for the ages with Luke Horning and Marc Lalonde and when they crossed the line Cousin Luke would get the win by 12 thousand of a second. Then we would have the fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July as they would put on a great show for nearly 30 minutes. Then it would be time for the main event of the evening with the Sportsman Modified Firecracker 44 and the two thousand to win it would be a battle between the USA and Canada on this fourth of July and it would be between Nick Heywood and Gabriel Cyr and when the checkered flag flew it would be Nick Heywood for the win. Then the rains would fall ending the night before the Enduro could be run but that has been rescheduled for the August 10th show. The racetrack will be silent next week as they take the week off for the Clinton County Fair but they will be back racing July 18th. Gallery
