Many of the finals were very tightly contested as riders were going for the bragging rights that I won the last race in Malone. As an added bonus in the Pro Open division it was the 1st leg of the Woody's Triple Crown and Bailey Motor Company put up an extra $1,000 to winner of the race. The winner would be Bobby Lepage on the #244 Polaris that would pass Mathieu Morin with just two laps remaining in the 20 lap main event when he got held up the slower sleds.
