Clinton's Jeffery Collns Weeks (4) comes in hard and gets the block on the shot attempt by Jefferson's Marcus Castine (21) to keep the Cougars in the game. We would have NJCAA Division III Region III Men's Basketball from Clinton Community College, with the home Cougars hosting the visiting Jefferson Community College Cannoneers, who would get back on the winning track after yesterday's loss to Onondaga Community College. The game would be tight through the first half as the teams would trade the lead back and forth, and when the intermission hit, the Cannoners would have the slim 36-34 lead. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cannoners would explode out of the gate and take a quick 16-point lead and look to have the game in hand. Although the Cougars would give everything they could to get back in the game and, at one point, had it within four in the closing minutes, the Cannoners would win the half 52-44 and secure the 88-78 win. In the winning effort for the Cannoners, they would go to 2-4 on the season, while the Cougars fell to 2-3 on the early season. Gallery
