The game would be a tight back and forth game throughout the first half as the Cardinals would have a slight 42-41 lead at the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the cardinals would not take there foot off the gas pedal as they would win the quarter 50-42 and secure the 92-83 victory. Plattsburgh State's Kelly Degnan (32) dives for the loose ball along the end lines. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Middleburry Panthers in non-conference action. The game would be tight through the first quarter and the Panthers would hold a 19-15 lead. In the second quarter the Cardinals would do there best to keep it close and cut it in half with a 19-17 quarter and trail 36-34 at intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the offenses would come alive and the Panthers would win the quarter 26-23 and have a 62-57 lead. In the fourth quarter the Panthers would seal the game away with a 18-13 quarter and secure the 80-70 victory. In the losing effort Taylor Durnin would lead the way with 18 points as the Cardinals fall to 3-4 on the season. Gallery

Middlebury Panthers Vs #3 Wisconsin Eau Claire Blugold - Primelink Great Northern Shootout Championship - NCAA Men's Hockey - November 30th 2019

It would be the finals of the 22nd annual Primelink Great Northern Shootout and would feature the Middlebury Panthers and #3 Wisconsin Eau Claire Blugold. The game would start off good for the underdog Panthers as they would score 3 minutes in on the Matt Danner goal for the 1-0 lead. Although the Blugold would answer back with two goals in the first period from Nick Techel and Jard Vroman for the 2-1 lead. In the second period, the Blugold would expand there lead to 4-1 on goals from Derek Hammer and Cole Paskus. In the third period though the Panthers wouldn't go quitely as they would get two goals late from Emack Bentley and Zach Shapiro to make it tight down the stretch. Although the Blugold would hold on for the 4-3 victory and be crowned the 2019 Primelink Great Northern Shootout champion. Gallery

#1 Norwich Cadets Vs Middlebury Panthers - Primelink Great Northern Shootout Semi-Finals - NCAA Men's Hockey - November 29th 2019

Middlebury's Conor Breen (10) with the crunching hit along the boards on Norwich's Felix Brassard (8). #1 Norwich Cadets would matchup with rival Middlebury Panthers in the Semi-finals of the 22nd Primelink Great Northern Shootout. It would be another great game between two great teams. The game would remain scoreless through the first period. Middlebury's Matt Danner would break the ice at the 11-minute mark to give the underdog Panthers the lead. The Cadets would keep fighting and tie the game up in the final minute of the second period on the Felix Brassard powerplay goal. The game would end up going to overtime as neither team could score in the third period, not for the lack of chances. In the overtime Panthers Zach Shapiro would get the game-winner on a scramble in front of the net to complete the upset victory. With the win, the Panthers go to 4-1 on the season and head to the championship while the Norwich Cadets suffer there first loss of the season and go to the consolation game. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Ashley Songin (12)crashes the net going for the goal and takes out the going for the goal. It would be a bad between top ten teams in nation as the #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the #10 Middlebury Panthers in front of 500 fans. The game would remain scoreless until the 1:33 mark of the second period when the Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Kaitlin Drew-Mead goal. The Cardinals would expand there lead to 2-0 on Abby Brush's breakaway goal at the 6:43 mark of the third period. The Panthers although would cut the lead in half with under five minutes to go to make the reminder intense. Although the Cardinals would put the game away in the last minute on a empty netter from Annie Katonka to secure the 3-1 victory. In the winning effort Kassi Abbott would make 20 saves as the Cardinals finish the regular season 23-2. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Middlebury Panthers in non conference action in front of 1500 fans at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. The Cardinals would strike first 90 seconds into the game with Greg Malafronte for the 1-0 lead. Then at the 11 minute mark of the period the Greg Malafronte would strike again this time on the power play to make it 2-0 Cardinals lead. The Panthers would get on the board with 4 minutes left in the period to make it 2-1 Cardinals at the end of the first period. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on Antonio Desyoners eight minutes into the period. The game would stay there til the third period when the Panthers would explode for five goals in the period and the Panthers would get the 6-3 victory.
