Tony Frezzo (22) would beat out CJ LaVair (4) for the win as they would come down the stretch for the win in the Mini Stock main. It would be the 37th season opener at the Mohawk International Raceway brought to you by Sovereign Cannabis and all five of their weekly divisions would be in action with the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stock, Limited Sportsman Modifieds, and the Mini Stocks with 93 cars in the pits. After all the qualifying races were done on the night it would be onto the mains and the first one out of the box would be the mini stocks for 15 laps and there would be a side-by-side battle up front for most of the night between CJ LaVair and Tony Frezzo for the win and when they came across the line it would be Frezzo by a half a car for the win. The next up would be the Limited Sportsman Modified for their 15 laps 11 car affair Keith Pelkey would have the lead at the early start of the race but when an early caution came out for a spin it would set up the restart with him and Matt LaValley. Off the restart, they would go side by side for a few laps but then Matt LaValley would get the lead and just keep pulling away slightly for the win and get his first career Mohawk International Raceway. Then next up would be the main event of the evening with Clyde Slingers Pro Stock Series race for 35 laps $1,000 to win and there would be 29 cars that would take the green flag and Blayne Nichols would get the lead off the start and would hold it for the few laps until there was a caution for Kevin Featherly trying to climb the backtretch wall. Then off the restart, the battle would be on upfront between Blayne Nichols and Sid Harmer Jr and Harmer would find an opening on the bottom and hammer down the lead and win, and rounding out the top three would be Dakota Sharp and Marc Lalonde. Then we would have the 358 Modifieds with their 21 cars and 30 lap event and would see Joey Ladoucer get the lead off the start. However, the lead would be short-lived as the battle up front would be between Cary Terrance and Tim Fuller, and in the end, Fuller would win with Terrance second and Louis Jackson Jr finishing out the top three. Then it would be time for the last night race with the Sportsman Modified 19 car 25 lap event that would go caution-free. Although the action up front would be fast and furious with Tristan Ladoucer getting the lead at the start. But the battle up front would be a classic between Ontario and Quebec, with Cyr and Gauvreau tight close racing trading the lead back and forth and seeing Cedric Gaurveau win over Gabriel Cyr and Cory Castell for the top three. The track will be back in action next Saturday night with the traditional Memorial Cup and the main event on the evening will be twin 20's for the 358 Modifieds. Gallery

Nathaniel Guay (97.5) and Shawn Duquette (18) battle for the lead as they dive into turn one which would see Guay get the win on the night. It would be the second week of Thursday Night Thunder and the big event of the tab would be Renegade 30 lapper for $500 to win as it would be another packed night in the pits with around 110 cars in the pits. After all the heat races were run the first feature of the night on tap would be the Be Cool Heating and Air Condition 358 Modifieds for 30 laps and the early leader would be Justin Stone off the start of the race and hold it for the first portion of the race but there would be charger and past track champion Chris Raabe that would get around him around the midpoint of the race and would hold on there for his first win on the season and the hard charger on the night would be Preston Forbes that would gain 11 spots for the top ten finish. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified up for there 25 lap event that would see a full field of 32 cars take the green and just like last week it would be the Donovan Lussier show as he would start on the front row and just walk away from the field and capture his second straight win on the season and finishing out the top three would be Joey Scarbrough and Travis Bruno. Then it would be time for the main event of the weekend as it would be the 30-lap $500 to win 9th state Canabais Renegade feature and it would see an early race battle between Shawn Duquette and Richie Turner until Turner would get loose coming off one of the corners and end up in the infield. Then off the restart the race will be on up front between Shawn Duquette and Nathaniel Guay and in the late stages Guay would start pull away but it would be not without drama as a backmarker would turn to pull off with Guay right behind him slam on the brakes to narrowly avoid him. From there though Guay would hold on to scoire the win and the $500 first-place check. Then to finish off the night would be the Moore's Recycling Mni Stocks with their splits features. In the first feature, it would see Caleb Tourville start on the front and take the lead but the lead would be short-lived as Steven Bressette would take the lead and from there cruise to the checkered flag for the win. Then in the second feature, it would see a crowd favorite get his first career win as Chuck Mooney would wheel the popular mystery machine around for the win to close the night. The Airborne Park Speedway will come back to life next Thursday with Hometown Hero night as we honor the military and first responders as they will get free admission to the races with all four divisions on tap again.
