Hockey Plus/Loreman's Padres Kyle Rock (#4) with the sliding catch in left field on a ball that was slicing towards the foul line. The Hockey Plus/Loreman's Padres would continue their winning ways as of late in sweeping the Lyon Mountain Miners 9-4 & 13-7 and are now a four-game winning streak. With the win, the Padres moved into 2nd place just behind the Plattsburgh Cardinals. Gallery

The Plattsburgh North Star's started off their 2009 season by traveling down to Manchester Center, VT to lock horns with the Southern Vermont Storm. In a game that would remain scoreless until the 4th quarter and would see the North Star's pro vail with 12-7 win over a very scrappy Southern Vermont Storm squad. The North Stars will be back in action on June 27th against the Vermont Ravens at the Plattsburgh High Athletic Complex kickoff is 7:30. Hockey Plus/Loreman's Padres would gain their first-weekend sweep of the season as they would take two from the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs in Saranac at the Saranac High School. The Meron/Renzi Expos and the Hockey Plus/Loreman's Padres split their weekend series at Chip Cummings Field in Plattsburgh, NY. The Padres would take game 1 11-9 with a 3 run 7th inning. The Expos would come back to get the nightcap 5-3 when they put together a 4 run bottom of the 6th. With the split, the Expos go to 4-2 and the Padres go to 2-4 after three weeks of the season.
