#4 Saranac Spartans @ #1 Beekmantown Eagles February 26th 2026

It would be the semi-finals of the Section VII Division II Boys' Hockey playoffs at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena, and it would see a rematch of last year's finals as the #1 Beekmantown Eagles would host the #4 Saranac Spartans. The Eagles would waste little time jumping out to a lead, scoring two goals in the first 3:35 of the game from Edward Sweenor and Mason Carter, taking a 2-0 lead. The Spartans would get on the board at the 13:18 mark of the period on Gabe Moore's goal, and that's how the period would end, 2-1. The Eagles would be able to extend their lead to 3-1 at the 8:08 mark of the period on the Ivan Roy goal, and that would be the lone goal of the period at 3-1 Eagles as they enter the third. The Eagles would strike for three goals in the first 1:49 of the period from Mason Carter (second of the night), Pryce Parker, and Edward Sweenor (second of the night). TheSpartans would also add one in that stretch from Adrian Barnes to make it 6-2. The Eagles would finish off the game at the 10:31 mark of the period when Edward Sweenor would complete his hat trick and give the Eagles the 7-2 win, advancingto another finals on Monday night. #3 Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers @ #2 Plattsburgh Hornets February 26th 2026
Plattsburgh's Owen Chapple (72) makes the save on Saranac Lake/Lake Placid's Ayden McMormick, with 21 saves on the night. It would be the Section VII Division II Boys' Hockey semifinals, as the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #3 Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers at the AC North Arena, with the winner advancing to Monday's championship game. It would take until the 15:28 mark of the first period for the first goal of the game, when Eli McCormick would light the lamp for the Lakers and take a 1-0 lead, and that's where the first period would end. In the second period, the Lakers would extend their lead to 2-0 at 6:50 when Ayden McCormick would get the goal. The Hornets would answer right back 38 seconds later when Sam Bezio would get the Hornets on the board and make it a 2-1 game. The Hornets would not be done there, as they would tie the game at two on Cooper Holland's goal. The Lakers would come back and retake the lead about two minutes later at the 10:32 mark of the period on Eli McCormick's second goal of the game. The Hornets would tie the game again with 4:32 left in the period when Sam Bezio would get the second goal of the game, and the second period would end tied at two. The Hornets would get their first lead of the game at the 9:05 mark of the third period when Cooper Holland would get his second of the game, and from there the Hornets' defense would be up to the challenge as they secured the 4-3 victory. In the winning effort for the Hornets, Owen Chapple would make 21 saves as they entered the finals at 13-5-2. Plattsburgh State Cardinals @ Skidmore Thoroughbreds February 25h 2026
Skidmore's Tommy Aikens (29) with the stick save as part of a 35 save effort in a 4-3 Skidmore win over the Plattsburgh State Cardinals. It would be the start of the SUNYAC Men's Hockey playoffs. It would see the #6 Plattsburgh State Cardinals travel to Saratoga Springs and the Saratoga Springs Ice Rinks for their quarterfinal matchup with the Skidmore Thoroughbreds in front of 700 fans. The game would remain tied until the 16:549 ark of the 1st period when Tyler Chenevert would light the lamp for Skidmore and take the 1-0 lead after the 1st period. The second period would start well for Skidmore as they quickly jumped to ta2-0 lead on the Coleman Jenkins goal. The Cardinals would answer right back just over a minute later on the Brannon Butler goal to make it a 2-1 game. The Thoroughbreds would come back and regain the two-goal lead at 3-1 on Shane Baker's goal at the 7:50 mark of the second period. Then, with just under five minutes left in the period, Skidmore would extend the lead to 4-1 on Cooper Rice's goal, and that's where the period would end. The Cardinals would keep coming in the third period and make a 4-2 game at the 12:03 mark on the Spencer Bellina goal. The Cardinals would get a goal in the closing seconds of the game from Jake Sacratini, rotoake it a 4-3 final, as the Skidmore Thoroughbreds advance to the Semi-finals. #5 Northeastern Clinton Cougars @ #4 Saranac Spartans February 24th 2026
Saranac's Max Coryer (31) with the pad save on Northeastern Clinton's Cobe LaFountain (5) as part of a 31-save night in the 5-1 win. It would be the opening game of the 2026 Section VII Division 2 Boys' Hockey tournament, and it would feature the #4 Saranac Spartans hosting the #5 Northeastern Clinton Cougars from the AC North Arena, with the winner playing the #1 Beekmantown Eagles in the semi-finals two days later. The Spartans would get the first two goals of the game, 15 seconds apart at the 9:20 mark of the first period, when Noah Barton and Robbie Squier would score for the 2-0 lead. The Cougars would answer back at the 11:22 mark of the period and cut the deficit to 1 on the Scott Wrye goal to make it 2-1. The game would stay there until the 12:34 mark of the second period, when Killian Baker would score to make it a 3-1 game and regain their two-goal advantage. The Spartans would strike again 16 seconds later when Noah Barton would light the lamp for the second time on the night, giving them a 4-1 lead, and that's where the second period would end. In the third period, the Spartans would add one more at the 8:46 mark from Adrian Barnes as they secured the 5-1 victory. In the Spartans' winning effort, Max Coryer made 31 saves as they improved to 8-13 on the season and head to the semi-finals against the Beekmantown Eagles. #3 Beekmantown Eagles @ #2 Plattsburgh Hornets February 24th 2026
Plattsburgh's Ryan Colburn (23) with the three from the top of the key over the outstretched defender as the Hornets advance to finals with a 56-42 victory. It would be playoff time at Plattsburgh High School as the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #3 Beekmantown Eagles in the Section VII Class A Semi-Finals, with the winner getting the right to play #1 Peru Nighthawks in the Class A Championship at Clinton Community College. It would be a tight defensive battle, and the Eagles would have a slim 12-11 lead after the first 8 minutes. In the second quarter, the Eagles would find their stroke and take charge, 14-8, and take a 26-19 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Hornets came out buzzing, went 12-5, and took a 33-31 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the offense would be hitting on all eight cylinders, as the Hornets would have a 25-11 quarter and cruise to a 56-42 victory. In the winning effort, the Hornets go to 7-12 on the season as they head into the Section VII Class A Championship against the #1 Peru Night Hawks, as the Beekmantown Eagles' season would come to an end at 5-12. Plattsburgh State Cardinals @ Canton Kangaroos February 21st, 2026
Canton's Tret Miller (29) with the pad save on Plattsburgh State's Ryan Callanan (17) as part of a 35-save night in a 2-1 victory. It would be the last game of the regular season at the Terry Martin Arena on the campus of SUNY Canton, as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Canton Kangaroos would battle for the fifth seed in the upcoming SUNYAC tournament in front of 300 fans. It would take tuntilthe 10:01 mark of the first period wforthe home Kangaroos wtoget the opening goal of the game from Logan Kelly,, and that would be the lone goal of the period The Cardinals would come back and tie the game at the 8:35 mark of the second period when Jake Sacratini scored on the power play,, and 'that's how the period would end. The game would go until the 11:06 mark of the third period, when Dylan Pollock would get his first career goal, and it would be the winner, as the Cardinals would not be able to get the equalizer down the stretch, and the Kangaroos would get the 2-1 win. In the winning effort, the Kangaroos Trey Miller would make 35 saves as they go to 12-12-1 on the season and will take on the Cortland State Red Dragons in the SUNYAC first round. Mrrisville State Mustangs @ #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 21st 2026
Plattsburgh State's Riley Keller (2) with the bang in the open night to get the scoring started as they would get the 8-0 victory over the Mustangs. It would be the last regular-season game of the season. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Morrisville State Mustangs from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 400 fans The Cardinals would waste little time in taking control of the game as they would score three goals in the first 6 minutes of the game from Riley Keller, Sydnee Francis and Kate Conlon but the Mustangs would buckle down for the rest of the period and thats how it would end. The Cardinals would come again at the 8:19 mark of the second period, and Molly Riggi would score to extend the lead to 4-0. The Cardinals wouldn't rest, and they got one on the shorthand from Kate Conlon for the second of the game to make it 5-0 at the 14:31 mark of the period. Then, with 2:08 left in the period, the Cardinals would have their second three-goal period, thanks to Bailey MacKellar, for the 6-0 lead after tw In the third period, the Cardinals would add two more from Taya Balfour and Piper Smith as they secured the 8-0 victory and the #1 seed in the SUNYAC Women's Hockey tournament. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Maddy Stetson made 16 saves in the shutout win, as they finished the season at 18-6-2. #3 Plattsburgh Hornets @ #2 Beekmantown Eagls January 14th 2026
Beekmantown's Iasia Mosley (23) with the contested layup over Plattsburgh's Amara Gorham as the Eagles get the overtime 43-36 victory. It would be a Section VII Class A Girls' Basketball playoff tilt from Beekmantown High School as the #2 Beekmantown Eagles would host the #3 Plattsburgh Hornets for the right to play for a sectional title against #1 Peru Nighthawks at Clinton Community College next weekend. The game would start well for the upset-minded Hornets, who jumped out to a 13-0 lead, but the Eagles would chip away, and the Hornets would have a 17-13 lead at the end of the quarter. The Eagles would keep coming in the second quarter and send the game to the intermission tied at 22 on a 9-5 quarter. When the teams returned for the third quarter, defense would be the name of the game, as the Eagles would take a 29-27 lead into the fourth quarter thanks to a 7-5 quarter. In the fourth quarter, the game would stay tight, and Ava Weiss for the Hornets would hit a three-pointer in the closing seconds to send the game to overtime tied at 33. In the end, the home Eagles would take control in the fourth quarter and get the 43-36 victory. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles go to 9-11 and will advance to the Section VII Class A finals against the Peru Nighthawks on the last game of championship weekend. Gallery
Cortland State Red Dragons @ #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 20th 2026

It would be the last weekend of the regular season in SUNYAC Women's Hockey and it would be a match up of the top two teams in the league as the #13 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in front of 350 fans the dared the snowstrom outside. It would take until the 14:45 mark of the first period before Kate Conlon would get the opening goal giving the Cardinals a -0 lead, and that's how the first period would end. The Cardinals would waste little time when they returned for the second period, extending their lead to 2-0 just 2:03 in on Tessa Morris' goal. Then, at the 7:53 mark of the period, the Cardinals would get the 3-0 lead when Tessa Morrisstrucke for the second time. The Cardinals would take the 3-0 lead into the third when Emily Kasprzak would score on the power play at the 12:39 mark of the period for the 4-0 lead The Red Dragons would eventually get on the board with a goal from Drew Kopek to make it 4-1 in the game Although the Cardinals would add one more with 23 seconds left from Riley Keller to gice the Cardinals the 5-1 win. In the winning effort for the Cardinals Maddy Stetson would make 20 saves as they go to 17-6-1 on the season. For the Red Dragons, they combined for 26 saves as they fell to 14-6-4 on the season. Universel College Gatineau @ New York Dynamo February 20th 2026
New York's Elkhan Abibekov (16) with the off-balance marker to give the Dynamo the 2-0 lead at the time as they get the 5-3 victory at home against Gatineau. The New York Dynamo would start the last weekend of the regular season in the United States Premiere Hockey League St. Lawrence Division with a game against Universel College Gatineau at the American North Arena. The Dynamo would get the opening goal of the game at the 14:19 mark of the first period, with Maddox Heise scoring for a 1-0 lead. They would extend their lead to 2-0 just 54 seconds later when Elkhan Abibekov would slide it through the Gatineau netminder. Gatineau would get on the board with 1:13 left in the first when Nicolas Barnes would beat Landon Blaine on the glove to end the first period 2-1 Dynamo. The Dynamo would regain their two-goal lead at 3-1 when Tanner Hamilton gets it by a diving netminder at the 12:20 mark for the lone goal of the second period. Gatineau would strike quickly in the third period, just 36 seconds in, on the Hugo Berube goal to make it a one-goal game again at 3-2. The game would stay there until the 16:41 mark of the period, when Brock Spaulding would make it 4-2. Gatineau would keep coming and, for the third time on the night, make it a one-goal game with 1:07 left in the game on the Luca Godwin goal to make it 4-3. The Dynamo would ice the game when Tanner Hamilton would net his second of the game on the empty netter to secure the 5-3 victory. In the Dynamo's winning effort, forward Blaine made three saves.
