It would see the #6 Plattsburgh State Cardinals travel to Saratoga Springs and the Saratoga Springs Ice Rinks for their quarterfinal matchup with the Skidmore Thoroughbreds in front of 700 fans. The game would remain tied until the 16:549 ark of the 1st period when Tyler Chenevert would light the lamp for Skidmore and take the 1-0 lead after the 1st period. The second period would start well for Skidmore as they quickly jumped to ta2-0 lead on the Coleman Jenkins goal. The Cardinals wouldn't rest, and they got one on the shorthand from Kate Conlon for the second of the game to make it 5-0 at the 14:31 mark of the period.
